I run with a friend for missioning. I have been looking at many of the level three missions and they seem to be mostly a few cruisers and frigates with a BC thrown in here or there. How surviable would it be to run these with a dual setup of caracal and rupture? I am fairly certain we have the DPS out put needed but I am unsure on our tanks.

you have to speed tank the missile BCs and the odd BS. You're going to take forever to kill BS though.

tanks would die instantly the next wave spawned, thats IF you could survive the first. _______________________________ [ 2007.06.07 21:07:22 ] FrankyWave > ransom me guys I am joining XElas !!! |

Well first of all your referring to L3 missions correct, not wormholes? In which case it should be quite do able, I imagine with good skill the the caracal could solo them. If your just starting out I would recomend avoiding some of the harder missions (like headhunters) while you get your teamwork down This Post Needs No Signature |

Yes level 3 missions. Our skill sets aren't the highest. He is a fairly new character. I am a returning character that used to suck rocks and build things so most of my points are assigned there. I can fly a BC, but not well. The few level 2s that we have done together we have tore through. I have a L3Q-15 agent that is open and I was wondering if the reward increase would be worthwhile (compared to a L2Q+) if we could do it. I really don't have a lot of idea of how much the missions bring in for a general level range.

I can do LVL 4 missions with Sacrilege. I've tested it on test server and it works very well.

If you're knowing what you're doing and have a reasonable amount of skills pretty much every l3 is doable solo in a cruiser. Being two cruisers should help reducing the incoming damage fast and thus make tanking easier.
For soloing keeping a distance of 50 or more km greatly helps tanking. I have doubts that's practical with a rupture. Caracals and Vexors for example can easily do it without sacrificing damage. A Moa makes a nice L3 cruiser too, but is a bit weak in terms of damage. For a Rupture you need to make advantage of its speed, try to orbit hard hitting stuff fast at ranges of about 30km.
I would suggest not to try Blockade vs. Angels - its a hard piece of work in a cruiser.
Just give it a try. Do not fit the most expensive stuff in case it goes wrong. If you don't have much to lose it'll be fun anyway.

This.
I did a lot of level 3s in a Vexor, had to take a break and train some skills up before being able to take Blockade though. (Lost a couple of ships trying to solo it with too low skills.)
Distance/speed tanking is the key.

It can be done. Done lvl 4s with three cruisers before too. Spider tank and coordination is part of it. It's a good way to practice manuvers and coordination with your buddies and something other than the same old grind.

Mentioning Myrmidon - being a tier 2 battlecruiser - and OP asking for dual cruisers, namely rupture and caracal doesn't compute.

Have done l3s in a normal Stabber solo, so it should be no problem with that pair. You'll need to speedtank ( in the rupture would be a good idea ) and prioritize anything that's even considering webbing you, but other than that it shouldn't be any problem.
