You will have to resize all the object windows in your interface.
After you fly around for a while you will find it somewhat pointless and will want to go back to a real computer.

It is understandable that not everyone is able to operate a computer; something that seems all too applicable to mac users.
And I just got that from the apple propaganda campaign....

Time for you to reduce monitor clutter and go with 30" panels. Not the apple ones since they aren't cost effective and are known to be flakey with apple support completely abandoning their customers, but the nice lg 3000w.
I have 2 of those and going for 2 more + a 60" lg lcd 'tv' screen as an informational display. Running about 1k each (in comparison to the inferior apple cinema display which run 3k each) you can get 3 for the cost of one apple product and feel good knowing you got some nice hardware.
Plus they look nice.

Totally not true. I tried macs out back in the 80s and although the experience was quite painful I thoguht I would at least give this 'new breed' a chance. So even though the mac experience is truly awful, you can't generically claim that you will never ever go back to remember how truly awful they are someday.
Then again, the support money should be running out soon so there may not be a next time.

Yeah I tried PCs out in the fifties. I didnt like the clumsy vacuum tubes and punch card system.
Also: your last sentence makes no sense of any kind. Is it english or some sort of fiendishly clever code that LOOKS like english?

The lifeline MS gave apple to keep them afloat...it is going to run out soon. You don't seriously think apple could survive on its own do you? The class action lawsuits alone are more than the revenue it brings in.

Wow way to necro some OLD news. http://news.cnet.com/2100-1001-202143.html
way back in 1997 Microsoft invested $150 million in Apple, Microsoft's money was a pittance. They "gave" Apple nothing. They BOUGHT $150 million in non-voting stock shares, which they agreed to hold for at least three years. After the end of the 3 years they sold there shares, and made a profit from the sale. At the time of Microsoft's investment, Apple had $1.2 BILLION in cash. While sales were indeed down, they had annual sales in 1997 of around $7 Billion. That's hardly a company running out of time. Microsoft probably gained more than Apple by avoiding any further antitrust entanglements, plus they got IE on the Mac desktop as the default browser.
this if from the 3rd quarter statement of 2009
Originally by: Apple.com
CUPERTINO, CaliforniaùJuly 21, 2009ùApple« today announced financial results for its fiscal 2009 third quarter ended June 27, 2009. The Company posted revenue of $8.34 billion and a net quarterly profit of $1.23 billion, or $1.35 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $7.46 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.07 billion, or $1.19 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 36.3 percent, up from 34.8 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 44 percent of the quarterÆs revenue.
Now lest see your trolling commence.

Truth still hurts doesn't it.
Announcements like that are intended to 'pump' up a stock - they are hardly founded in factual numbers. You might want to take a look to see who does their accounting.
Anyhow, look at from this perspective. Apple is doomed to fail unless its competitors keep it going. Why is this? Well you do need to keep the 'ugly betty' around to give another option when you become so dominant.
Now, compare apple to a recent bankrupt company that actually has something of value, Nortel. Nortel cornered the industry for phone switches and in particular got a client to commit to using only those switches. The revenue was insane, guaranteed and didn't require any new technology. Yet Nortel is now bankrupt and getting sawed apart. Apple has nothing of substance - far more liabilities with few to no assets; no patents worth anything, no capital assets that can be sold off and they carry a ton of useless employees who can't wait to jump ship to google once they figure out the directions.
So really, before you start posting earnings announcements like you know anything, understand what company viability means and why it is important. Pump and dump stock manipulation has been going on since the beginning of the markets and will continue.

You're such a loser. "Apple is doomed to fail"
Apple was founded April 1, 1976...
Just how long exactly does a company have to be in business before it proves itself?
33 years is a pretty long track record for any computer manufacturer...
Go away troll. You are obviously not a Mac fan, so why bother posting here?
Most of the people here use Macs for a thousand OTHER reasons besides playing games, its just nice to be able to play a game with them as well.
If you had actually used a Mac longer than a week, you would KNOW why people here use Macs instead of making yourself look like a trolling ******.

Im a Microsoft fanboy but I can see the company is failing. I'll never switch to a Mac, I might buy the iMac since it's the only thing hardware wise that Mac has reasonable prices on, but I'll just put Windows 7 on it.
Anyways, I hate to admit it, but Microsoft is dying, Apple will be the new computer giant, and soon even Linux will get past Windows. I'll still be using Windows so I don't care though :)
But seriously man, admit defeat, the OS war stuff is getting old.

I would recommend using Synergy Plus in order to remove the keyboard/mouse clutter on your desktop. I've a setup with 3 LCD's on one Vista and one Unix system and additionally one MBP, running Synergy on all of them. Using just one keyboard/mouse is a very natural way of working with more than 1-2 monitors.

You Sir make me laugh very very very hard... post of the year in the mac forums at least...
I think you might want to check your facts.. (at least update them ;)) Yes apple has had some issues but that was before the imac marketing and the return of Steve Jobs.
MS screwed up theyr vista launch (making it the new WinME) and Win 7 promises to be nothing more than Vista that should be.
I definetly did not buy my mac for games, but being able to play eve on it is a plus. The mac is a powerhorse, not a gamecube...
my setup: Dual 30" Apple mons at 2560x1600 8x Cores @ 3.2ghz, 32gb ram, Quadro 5800fx gfx card. "Insert witty comment here" |
