Not sure if many of you have been to my home city, but to give you an idea of the usual conditions (this isnt an exaggeration) about 3 years ago we had 51 consecutive days of rain.
that being said, 9 out of 10 days around the year there are clouds, and its usually fairly cool.
we also have snow usually later in the year (we get a small flurry or 2) latest this year was April.
however, this last week has been an exception to the average summer here where we aspire to get mid 90s and when a sunny day is rare.
the fact is: the high temperature has not dropped below 100 degrees Fahrenheit (mid to upper 30's Celsius) for the entire week.
our lows (like at midnight) are around high 70's low 80's.
i am rather hot and bothered here atm, and wanted to see if any other place is getting freakish weather _______________________ with a name as trustworthy as mine, i cant POSSIBLY be an alt

I'm just a state over and I believe it was June where we had almost non stop rain and sever thunderstorms which is unusual for us but now we're in our usual 90+ degree weather (Most days we cap over 100 with last Saturday being 110). But like I said this is pretty standard for us this time of year.

welcome to the Mediterranean weather, where you get hot days, hot nights, and even hotter days with thunderstorms (couple of them are expected tomorrow morning here where I live) ---

The poor sparkling vampires!
In Illinois during the summer we typically have 85-90 degree in the summer but this year I dont think we've hit past 90 yet, the highest just being about 80 (most days is been mid 70's.
Anyway to solve it we just keep the AC on or go to the beach. On an unrelated note, Kneel before Zod! |

Yeah it's been crazy, hasn't it?
I live just north of you in Victoria, BC, so the weather is basically the same.
However, today it seems that it has cooled off quite nicely so the heatwave might be over for a bit (hopefully).

Because us Americans cant grasp the concept of 30 degrees being hot.
As for heat, here in florida is has actually been very nice this summer only going over 100 degrees every once and a while.

About a half hour or so north of Seattle here. We ended hitting 103 degrees. I think they said it was a new record high for the area.
I'm glad it's finally started to cool off though. We don't have any AC in this apartment so the heat was pretty bad.

nobody has AC. out of the hundreds of households i know of, mabye 20 of them have AC. i only know 3 people with pools.
anyway, the heat wave is dying down now and it hit 80 today. _______________________ with a name as trustworthy as mine, i cant POSSIBLY be an alt

Hi, I'm Spass Stoiantschewksy.
I won't lament the end of summer. We had three days 105 and 106(Fahrenheit) in Portland and this is the second warmest July on record. I really don't care for weather above 65 degrees and you can see me kicking around in shorts and t-shirts when it's 20F and snowing in the winter.
