Hey all,
I have seen weird things going on in some lvl 4 missions. Sometimes they are way harder than the day before Most of the time me and a good friend of mine are flying together, and tanking everything we need to tank. But sometimes the battleships seem to be able to hit you (I was in a sacrilege tonight, which is a hac)from 45 km, with torpedo's for an astonishing 800 dmg per hit [:ugh:. Normally, his Machariel can tank up to 13 battleships at a time, but this time he couldnt even tank 6 of them.
Have you seen this too? Or are we the only ones who sometimes see this happening?
Greetings,

The only odd things I've seen in the last few days have been deadspace pockets randomly not disappearing after I complete a mission. Usually when I complete a mission, I can go back to the wrecks and salvage them and the "deadspacey-ness" goes away, letting me MWD around and get to those hard-to-reach wrecks quicker than bookmarking, warping, warping to bookmark.

Yeah I've had that happen too, only in the last few days.
Also I haven't had a mission be harder, but I swear I just did Gone Berzerk in about 5 minutes, seemed like those BS popped like cruisers. Maybe something funky is going on with missions.

Edited by: Boink''urr on 04/08/2009 01:14:03 I've only started missions today again after a short pause, but clearing the mission after it's done didnt remove the warpgates like it used to: After clearing the mission with the agent and returning to a bookmarked spot in mission territory (or warping on a fleetmember that stayed behind) led me to the warpgate that wasn't supposed to be there anymore D:

The deadspace will stay around while anyone is still in it - this has been how things work since the Apocrypha patch.
As for missions randomly being harder, the only time I've really noticed that was when I left a station with resistance amplifiers fitted by offline.

Gone berzerk and some other missions have random spawns, with a minuscule chance of a faction spawn too.
Probably you had a set of very easy spawns and the OP had a hard random spawn.

You need to bookmark a wreck and get everyone to leave the area, then turn in your mission, you can then warp back to the site and use your mwd, asteriods will remain for mining also after you have turned in but you must make sure no one is in the area when you turn in the mission, as for missions being harder I haven't had that.

I have noticed that sometimes my modules are offline when I undock, If you have a passive tank or just passive hardeners, they may be offline and you wouldn't know it without viewing passive modules.

I've had drones disconnect after I recall them. This has happened to me 3 times in the last week, and has never happened before. Its been happening to my corpies too.

That's happened several times to me since I returned to EvE a month or so ago. Great fun when you're in a lumbering, slow Raven and they disconnect several km away.
(Bug report filed, but I can't make it reproducible).

I've noticed disconnecting drones as well in a few occasions, but they all got disconnected when they where against a LCO/LCS like a few meters away from it as with your ship that tries to travel through one and starts speeding up & slowing down all the time.

I get the disconnected drone(s) from time to time. Very annoying.
The deadspace will also remain if there is a ninja salvager doing his thing when you turn in the mission. Total "WTF!" moment the first time I saw that.
Haven't noticed anything peculiar about incoming DPS variation.

What Mara said. If that happens and there is nobody in your fleet. A ninja is in your mission.

I've had a mission where the rats almost didn't do any damage at all (didn't break through my shield while I was armor tanking). And I've seen a sleeper battleship become inactive.
you can understand I'm not complaining here =P

My crop mates have been talking about this recently. They used to manage lvl 4's in a cyclone and a passive drake without any issues. We did Worlds Collide the other night with the same passive drake and cyclone but also had myself in a Domi, another drake and two amarr BC/crusier pilots. In that evening we lost 2 mallers and 2 cyclones and nearly lost one of the drakes.
Could the tactics be that skewed that this number of ships weren't able to achieve what 2 pilots used to manage ?
The cyclone pilot has had issues in other lvl 4's as well claiming he is being hit harder than before in the same missions for the same agent with the same fit and using the same tactics. It does seem odd.
