What is the fastest AFK ship? Points: 1) I know AFK is not safe:) 2) So looking for a ship where i WON'T bw activating modules. 3) Guess it's a balance between best base speed and most number of low slots for Overdrives II.
Thanks

Uh? Why not activate modules? On interceptors you can perma-MWD. I do it a lot when I go afk with GCC, warp to a semi-safe spot, align directly up or down and hit the MWD and go AFK.
People can still scan you down of course, however you'll practically be off grid when they land or well on your way to being off grid.
Going afk outside of highsec (or in highsec with WTs around) with just base speed is silly, you might as well be sitting still because you wont be going fast enough to make a difference if you're scanned down while AFK. ------------------------

This is purely to travel to Jita to check prices. So I need a fast ship that i can set destination and then just leave unattended to fly there. So what's faster than the shuttles please? (No longer have room to have an alt just based in Jita)

Pretty sure that its the claw.

You can swap the nanofibres for overdrives if you want, but they also help with align time. ________________________________________________ For changes to Minmatar Battleships click here (Now with added summary!) |

I would imagine, if you're using T1, it would be the Vigil. Put 3 Nanos on it and it goes over 600m/s base speed. Put a MWD on it, and tap it on every time you autopilot-warp 15KM from a gate. You actually travel faster than manually warping to 0KM and jumping.

an intercepter with warp speed rigs, i-stabs, and nano's.
you'll spend more time warping than you will flying the tiny 15km from gate to gate and seeing as nano's make you go faster too you might aswell make that bit quicker than trying to get another few m/s with overdrives.

1) Fit chosen ship with a MWD. 2) Drag the icon so the MWD is in the upper left module slot (the one that uses F1 as a shortcut) 3) Set destination to Jita. 4) Activate autopilot. 5) Press and hold the F1 key, then wedge a fork in the hole by the key so the key stays down. 6) Go do something else. 7) Come back in 15 minutes, and check the Jita prices.

Imo travelling at base speed is the bigger delay so you want overdrives.
Also, if you just want pricechecks an alt works fine but I get the need for a T2 shuttle. I use an Ares.

Well if you are a trade alt that has limited skill training time then the vigil will do as well as an inty. Minmatar frigate 4 and crappy level 4 navigation skills will you get a three second align with a top speed of 708ms.

6)Spend the afternoon trying to get your F1 key from where it pinged off down behind that heavy old cupboard you refuse to get rid of becuase one of your mates said it looked like an antique that time!

Be very wary about going to jita in an inty or something small, i did it and i got suicide ganked by 3 players, i lost 3 warp speed rigs and t2 mwd t2 nanos and istabs. Nothing in cargo or fitted to my ship to make it worthwhile so it was purely for griefing purposes.

I prefer a Cheetah. Just because its AFK speed is also its CLOAKED speed.
