I have been greatly annoyed ever since CCP added the external link page for every link on the forums. So I threw a little something together to fix this. This script looks at every link on a page, determines if it's external, and if so re-writes it so it points directly at the target instead of the man in the middle warning page.
CCP I am not a child and do not need to be babysat on the forums, however if you feel this script is in someway harmful then I guess remove my post.

The funny part is you get to see the warning page 1 last time before using the script.
Please let me know if there are any issues, I did not spend forever and a day testing it, but I have not seen any problems after using it a few days.

Edit: Oh, and CCP - is this enough to show you we hate the system? At least give us the option to turn it off.

BTW, for OPERA users - you don't even need to install Greasemonkey, the functionality is built-in
First, just go into Tools->Preferences->Advanced->Content->Javascript Options, set a custom "user script" directory.
Second, copy ANY script you want in that folder, and rename it so it ENDS in "user.js"... and you're set !
You *may* need to close and reopen Opera for the new script to take effect though.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a *babysitting* "we're all too stupid to notice it's a different site" issue... it could be a legal/identity/brand-protection/etc issue too... Though a short fine-print legal disclaimer at the bottom of each page might do the same thing and be much less annoying to all of us...

I heard of attempts to steal account info thru fake external links. So that's why they make the system. Yes option to turn it off would be convenient. But probably CCP want to be on the safe side in case of rising legal issue.
Oh and thumbs up for the script.
