As long as thermal resistance is above 50% you'll be fine! A 10,000 base damage shockwave is sent out every 15 minutes (I assume to impersonate a solar flare)

Would be neat if it did thermal damage, but it doesn't, at least last time I tried it was just a neat light show and nothing more.

I once did land inside the sun after a fialed watp to a team mate (he was in warp passing the sun).
It then bumped me at insane speeds out of it :).
But for all intents its just a sphere with a light show.
I once manually flew into a moon, it was also a hollow sphere. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personally i think this would be a great idea... and i think it could be made workable if they gave it a chance and worked on the idea for a bit. ________________________________________________

It's no longer a sphere, and hasnt been since they first came out with premium graphics, its just a point now.

I used to have a bookmark for some system that sent you to the very centre of the sun.
For a few seconds you'd bounce around at some stupid speed, possibly fast enough to count as warping, while watching this crazy acidtrip light show, before being pushed out as fast as i've ever travelled without warping. ------

You can use an inty to fly to 0. Make a bookmark in the star then warp to 0 on it in a heavy ship, you bounce off at a ridiculous speed like 234823748923748923 m/s and take a while to slow down. BECAUSE OF FALCON. Guide to forum posting |

Stars, with exception to certain 'content' stars (ones that specifically have NPC stuff at them, if these kinds of stars still exist in the first place), deal no damage to you regardless of how close you are to the center.
The same applies to trying to fly into a planet or moon - you'll simply bounce off the surface, or if you're exceptionally lucky, penetrate the surface and become the little space-sperm that could. ---
