Heres the scenario.........New pilot subs to EVE.
Friends tell him High and low sec is for pussys so noob grabs rookie ship and sets sail for null sec. He has no skills points no isk and a rough idea how to play the game from friends. Noob says im not joining a corp I want to be a solo ganking pirate and friends throw gas on his fire telling him its entirely possible he can survie and thrive in null sec with no sp or isk (cant stop laughing at said pilot). Is this possible.
I have actually considered creating a crap pilot and trying this out but I dont htink you can do it solo with no isk or sp's.
There is only two possible outcomes to this scenario......
Pilot attempts to fly to null sec and dies in first gate camp encountered immediately returned to rookie station with new rookie ship and attempts to enter null sec again without moving his clone gets poped and logs for the night. FAILURE
Attempt #2 pilot fixes clone location and dies upon entering null sec but is now in null sec clone with rookie ship again. What does he do now well if he was a good pilot he would try to make some isk maybe kill some rats or kill anything but thats not possible in a rookie ship. So he attempts to steal wrecks but cant salvage since he has no skills (rookie pilot dont forget). Popped again sitting in station with rookie ship and nothing he can do. Friends laugh at him he says this game sucks and quits for good while friends ask him for his stuff.....oh wait he has no stuff FAILURE.
If this game does one thing it prevents your annoying gaming friends who think they are elite in other games from playing with you in eve :) WIN WIN
Only problem they dont stay long enough for you to collect the buddy plex thats okay laughing at them is priceless. |

Yes it can. You can fly straight out of the door and into null in any direction and some one will look after you.
You might have a few return to base moments but eventually it will happen. I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion. |

Bwaaaa haaa haaaa. Another idea from a lonely gate camper wishing someone would wander by so all that time won't have been wasted. I have a better idea. Tell your CEO to think of something else to waste three days of Memorial Day Weekend next year. Herding n00bs through your camped gate so you don't spend the weekend watching Family Guy reruns...too much.
You so funny GI. Me love you long time. I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility toward every form of tyranny over the mind of man.-á |

I always wonder what people in their solo mission drakes think they're going to go do when they die to those evil gate camping blobbers in low/null entrances...
If you are a noob and want to jump right into nullsec, test alliance or a renter alliance are your best bet. You definitely can go solo in nullsec and lowsec, but it's hard enough for vets, as a noob you'll just be fodder and learn very little about the game excpet how to die. |

Solo, it should not be possible, if it were possible that would mean the game is broken IMHO.
Now if he wants to join a corp, sure easy, but solo, no. I'm an American, English is my second language... |

could a rookie do it? unlikely, too many survival strategies and game mechanics that would have to be learned the hard way.
could I do it (new character, no skills or assets, no corp/alliance affiliation)? pretty sure, I could.
start by stealing rat loot that other people left behind, reprocess it and sell the minerals, eventually start salvaging and then train for a stealthbomber asap (great for ratting and movement).
I would suggest a 0.0 region that borders empire as npc 0.0 markets do rarely have basic skillbooks on sale.
If you can only play during EU/US prime you will have to look for a very quiet spot or you'll run into problems - if you are able to play during off times you might get camped occasionaly but shouldn't have your playstyle denied completely.
I took a 3 week "vacation" in Stain last year (without having any standings with locals) and had a very nice & quiet time despite a smallish alliance living just 2 jumps away. |

I'm pretty sure this has been done with the blogs or forum posts to prove it.
The character was chased around a bit, but received help and an eventual home. |
