Im very interested in learning this skill, for both PVP and PVE. Seems like it would come in very very useful.
Is 28 days worth of training really worth it? thats basically amarr cruiser lvl 5 :)
Advice welcome

if those 28 days are for the prereqs (seems like a lot, but it could be). Remember that those are awesome skills to get anyway.

Absolutely required in PvP.
For PvE, you'll want Energy Mgmt V more than thermodynamics, but it can save you in a pinch. *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

overheat has saved my *** several times. 50% bonus on your MWD is invaluable.
If you pvp you want to get thermodynamics as soon as you can spare the sp. For pve, I've never used it once.

Personally, I rate Energy management V on its own more important and greater than Cruiser V of any race. Thermodynamics IV is just some pretty amazing icing on the cake (which every pilot who isn't an industrialist should have).

Just finished Energy Management V (and accidently Energy Systems Operation V mistaking that for the thermodynamic prereq) and I'm ready to train some Thermodynamicalisationsning! ________________________________________________

Edited by: Sader Rykane on 19/08/2009 12:18:52 Thermodynamics has saved my has in PvP AND PvE (vs sleepers) more times than I care to count.
Currently flying with Thermo III, will probably go to IV after I get in a Paladin.
I think this is one of the only skills that has such a long lame prereq that you will get 100% agreement from the people who have it.
When you get thermodynamics, you wonder why it took you so long to decide to train it.

Edited by: Zaeyla on 19/08/2009 12:17:46 It's great. You should plan on getting it fairly soon. I got thermodynamics before cruiser 5 and I don't regret it. It is godly. You can scram from 10.8km out, web @ 13km, help your tank, pretty much improve any active module.
EDIT: And the prereq is another awesome support skill. 5% to all cap is really nice.

The pre-req skill should be a high priority in any case. You can never be too rich or too thin or have too much cap.
