A few days back i released 2 market orders of trit and mex, however only 1 of them was reported in my journal as a market release escrow and gave my money back. The other one just disappered witout a trace along with the money. (yes i checked corp and personal hangar for minerals but nothing there)
I'we filed a bugreport and a petition without getting any real answers, so i post this information to warn all pod pilots.
If you release large orders take a screenshot as precaution and check your logs to see if you got your money back. For traders with alot of isk in the market it might be another drain tho. Consider yourself warned.... --- Live and learn, die and learn more! http://www.dukefoss.com/eve/ |

Check the corp hangars and wallets. I've had things accidentally end up there before.
I do hope it isn't a bug.

Jeez. The point is that there wasnt any trade! And by canceling the order i didnt get refunded the advance.
And yes i have checked the logs, crossrefrenced with item trade list, checked all hangars, delivery bays. There was NO TRADE! and NO REFUND !
And before you ask no im not using drugs either. It must be a database bug that happens rarely, however support only give gibberish feedback. Im not sure they even escalate it to database personell or checks the logs.... --- Live and learn, die and learn more! http://www.dukefoss.com/eve/ |

I dont care about 5mill, however its bad for the whole eve if some percentage just vanishes of the market. It has implications where some will be affected mote than others. What if a new player without any trading skill put all his isk into a Battleship buy order. He then stand a chance of loosing all his isk if he cancel the order!
This is a severe bug, and ccp dont seem to pay any attention to it.... --- Live and learn, die and learn more! http://www.dukefoss.com/eve/ |

Sometimes when you cancel an order the server eats the ISK until the next DT. After that DT the ISK should be back where it belongs.

That's true. One Time I had to wait 3 DT to get all of it back and in the end there was still 640k isk missing :( not a big sum at all but still... it was MY cash ;)

If there is no trace of the ISK, then it is your mistaken memory.
If you lost ISK due to a bug, then there must be a trace. Check your transaction history, and file a petition if you have actually lost any ISK.

Specificly, if you let an order expire without cancelling it, the items/ISK will not be released until downtime.

If you did encounter a bug especially one with market transaction and escrow I would suggest making a petition first instead of talking on the forum. |

Like I said before, it happened to me on a 'MULTIPLE' PLEX order. 1.2 billion ISK just vanished. It's back now, but I had to wait a relatively long time, which is not on. I could have used that money for making more ISK. Reimbursement petitions are a joke!

Sometimes escrow items or funds bug out and aren't released immediately, usually they're back where you expect them after a downtime.
