Hello,
One of the things that my CEO goes on about occasionally is her dream of a "Pirate Rehabilitation Service", which I think is a novel idea. This got me thinking though. Say a pirate develops a conscience, and wishes to break from the shackles of being solid-red. What are the options? It's basically just to go to 0.0 and grind until you're able to enter highsec again as far as I understand.
I know that CCP offers a character transfer service for 20 Euros, and I suppose my idea is akin to "powerlevelling" in other games. Could a pirate and a "rehabilitation technician" come to a deal whereby the pirate character would be transferred to the technician, who would then appease CONCORD by shooting computer enemies. Once the security status reaches a prearranged level, the technician would then transfer the character back.
What would be the legality/practicality of this? What could the issues be?
Regards
A. Brighteyes

If a pirate ever regained his conscience, he would at least have the dignity to avoid Rancer Defence League.

The "rehabilitation technician" stripping the character of assets and then biomassing it. Trust is not a very available commodity in Eve.

uhm.. people who pirate don't have a conscience? Uhm.. actually it's just that they've evolved past the idea that pirates are evil. Pirates are just people who want to pvp against noobs. That's it.

no, pirates want to protect asteroids and npcs from evil carebears who mine/kill them. You are the real evil here.

Edited by: Buzz Tard on 18/08/2009 17:45:03 This service already exists.
Depending on how much sec status within what time you want to regain, you have to fly one of those numerous NPC ships for a while and get you self ganked over and over in hi sec by missionrunners and miners in a hulk.

To answer your question. Not sure if you are serious since the kids already got ahold of it making it look like a joke, but here goes anyways. It is $20 to character transfer, within this transfer your standings are erased. So technically you could transfer to a new account or you could do it the way you was talking. But in the end it would cost $40 to transfer to and from.
Your best bet is to create a new account and transfer it to it and keep it there for $20. Or spend a week or two in 0.0 ratting and raise it that way.
