Damnit!
If it isn't "Materials for War Preparation" than it's "A Special Delivery"!
Get rid of those damn lvl "4" important missions. Theres like a 99% chance you get one of these 2 bastard missions instead of a decent one!

The agent i used to fly missions for only gave Mats for war prep every time. No other mission.

Are you kidding me? I spend 1M for materials for war prep and get a 25M implant. Its the fastest 1/4 mill you can make in the game!
Special delivery does **** me off though. At lvl 4, if you want to do it in one run you need a freighter.

Okay .. my imps are always worth around 10mil or less, dunno if you get something other than the common +4 implants, but i guess you're just a troll.

Impossible, since i switched from caldari to an amarr agent a long time ago all i got was the Materials for War preparation ... everytime. Btw, i give a crap about that implant, i want faction standings.

Me and a mate both run missions from the same station, from the same guy. Weirdly, out of my last 10 storylines ive had 5 or so i've had combat missions
On the other hand, he rarely even gets MFW, he gets that stupid courier one :P
Roll of the dice, luck of the draw

I just got a +4 ocular filter yesterday for that mission, and it had a buy order for 24M. The kernite was for sale at the station for a jacked up price (about 2M for all the units), but it was worth it just to be fast. 22M profit for traveling 2J to a station and buying something off the market isn't bad at all.

If all you are getting is 10m for a +4 implant you are either right clicking and selling instead of putting it on a sell order like you should, or doing something I can't figure out. Even the crappiest of the standard +4 implants will sell for around 25m.

From my recent experience (as I'm currently grinding my way towards a specific faction standing):
# All combat storyline missions give close to 8.75% faction gain.
# "Materials For War Preparation" gives a decent monetary reward via the implant, but the standing increase is pathetic (0.7%!)
# "A Special Delivery" can be done in a T2-rigged Iteron Mark V, a Freighter, or an Orca. Taking all factors in, the Orca is the best ship for the job. The faction gain is equal to that of a combat mission, so for faction standing purposes this is one of the better missions to get.
# "Transaction Data Delivery" gives around 2.4% gain to your faction standings, but for picking up and bringing back a 0.1m3 item you get 15 million ISK.
But I do agree that the ratios of the missions given needs to be looked at. Would it be too much to ask to have the "Can't have the same mission twice in a row" mechanic implemented for storyline missions? |

Lucky you. 20-25M profit for 2 minutes work 8 times...

Tbh, I wouldn't mind the mission if they gave a bit more of a meaningful boost to my standings. As it stands they are really pointless.

Assembly Hall ? Why ? The CSM doesn't actually have any direct bearing on what CCP do to the game anyway.
And yeah I agree with the OP. You would think doing L4 missions would get you good Factional standings increase but after 16 combat missions it's disappointing to then be given a courier or buy-from-the-market mission for little standings increase.

Right. Posting in a sub forum for discussing how to tackle PVE related activities is much more appropriate than the sub forum meant for issues to be brought to the CSM. How about Features and Ideas then? Stop clogging Missions and Complexes with whinage.
