yes i'm aware of all you people who find it fun to can tip and the ones who like things the way they are.
I was thinking of a way without changing security issuses like can tippers killed by concord and such.
So instead I dreamed up this, a small say 0.01m3 device that can be put in a jet can that when the ore is taken by a can tipper the is reduced in size by half, that or it destroys the can and contents before they transfer the contents.
now to stop it been very common place it won't be cheap like a few million isk or so.

I'm not sure why you can't have secure containers in high sec, i think that would be a nice thing to change. Just don't let them be anchored not a hard thing to do. I'm so sick of can flippers, even though they are not doing it to me directly i'm tired of the idea and hearing about it.

use giant secure container or haul your stuff continuously, nobody said that mining is an easy job. The fact insecure cans the most easy because of their size does not mean they musnt have drawbacks, the drawback is simply everybody can take the stuff. BECAUSE ITS A TRASH CAN!

I've got no idea where you got the idea you couldn't have secure can in highsec. Can't anchor them in the higher security sector but plenty of highsec where you can anchor them.
As for your idea of using them unanchored, you'd be well advised to read http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Secure_containers#Anchoring_and_setting_the_password. -- 081014 : emoragequit, char transfered to a friend, 090317 : back to original owner blog |

No! The problem is that a problem becomes a problem when you experience it as a problem and that makes your problem not our problem. So actually there is no problem but only you thinking there is a problem, and thatÆs a problem for us because there seem to be a lot of players with problems that are no problems at all.
Just play dont think.
*** A Problem is a state of mind experiencing a disadvantage.
*** A opportunity is a possibility to make advantage of someoneÆs problem.

Well, that and they're willing to make things up, internally acknowledge those things as fact, and subsequently use them to dismiss the viewpoints of someone else that don't have anything to do with it anyway.
They have no idea whether the person has ever even played WoW. That's a big one right there.
What's more, unless they play WoW themselves, they have no idea whether it's mechanics reflect what the person wants. They could be identical to EVE's mechanics, for all they know. And if they do play WoW, they're hypocrites for mocking and condescending to everyone else who does.
And even if a person plays WoW for 13.5 hours a day and only spends 0.5 hours playing EVE, that doesn't mean a damn thing. They could still be right, and in all likelihood, they are, since there's ample evidence that they're smarter than the person who does nothing but spout "BRAAAWWWK, GO BACK TO WOW, GO BACK TO WOW, BRAAAWWWK!"
It doesn't matter what WoW is like. To all the asstards who constantly say "EVE is not WoW," I say "quote where we said it was or STFU." You're the one who's obsessed with WoW. You're the one who keeps bringing it up. And you're the one who knows the least about it.
So let's try a new rule: If you bring up WoW, you are admitting that you have lost the argument.
Follow that rule and you won't look like your mother drank a quart of turpentine twice a day while she was pregnant with you.

I've have never played WoW and I never will. But I have heard enough about the game to know that it is an MMO in easy mode. Push button get level. A person of any age or intellectual level can play WoW and be successful. Hence it's popularity.
EvE Online is a far more complex and engaging game. It has a very steep learning curve. To become a good player. You really have to apply yourself. You have to read guides, study ship fittings, calculate ISK per hour, weigh risk verses rewards and much, much more. This is what I like most about the game. You have to use your head to play it.
What I dislike is when. Someone who is not willing to learn the game. Someone who doesn't want to apply themselves. Someone who wants everything handed to the on a silver platter. Makes a thread in the forums that basically says. "I don't like the way this game is." Change it to suit me."
Back to can flipping. I can honestly say that I've never had a can flipped or ore stolen. The game already has systems in place that can be used to avoid it. Examples have been given in post before this one. There is no need for me to repeat them. If person is too lazy to use what is already in game and would rather cry in the forums. Calling for the game to be made easier for them. Then all I have to say to that person is.
"Just go back to WoW."

In your post you seem to take this a bit too seriously and enjoy tossing the random insult that generalizes people instead of directing it at anyone to avoid forum mods. Don't get me wrong, love arguing myself, especially if we can tosses horrible things around about each other, but you seem to fail at understanding when to make a relative post or just complain because people aren't doing things your way. To conclude, I would like to say, go back to WoW, can I have your stuff, and have a great day ---

Finally, a person who disagrees with me but has a brain!
Yes, replying to people with "Yo'mama" is immature, counterproductive and rude. So I only use it to reply to posts that are immature, counterproductive and rude.
It occurs to me that there's a sort of sublime karma in the way I post on this particular forum; EVE's whole attitude is that it's okay to have fun at other people's expense, and this is the only forum that is so antagonistic in general that I ever do it. (The last time I can remember flaming anyone over anything anywhere else was years and years ago...)
Normally I'm quite polite. If someone is being an antagonistic dillhole, I usually just step around it, as most forums I go to will shun those people and they'll eventually figure out that it's not the way to do things if you want to be respected. But this forum has a few too many dillholes for that to work. So I just go ahead and indulge the darker of my Wordsmithing abilities.
Your post was among the exceptions, as you responded with reason rather than thoughtless dogmatic barking. "Just go back to WoW" isn't the kind of thing you'd say without an explanation to go with it (which you just provided).
So you may consider your mother to be turpentine-free.
What you have to understand is you're one of the only ones. Most people who post "go back to WoW" are really just saying "f*** off." They like the game the way it is, but they never genuinely think about what WoW is like, whether it is more akin to what a person wants, or whether whatever aspect of EVE is being argued about is really a feature that's worth defending.
It's foolish to compare WoW to EVE when you don't play it, no matter how much you've heard. EVE sounds a lot different on paper than it really is; why wouldn't WoW be the same?
WoW can be quite complicated. In fact, when compared to missioning or mining in EVE, it's by far the more sophisticated game. EVE, conversely, has more freedom and far more emergent gameplay.
And blasphemous as this may sound, as far as PvP, I'd say they're dead even overall. EVE owns world PvP, but you get a lot more raw action in WoW battlefields, and the sophistication and tactics are comparable. EVE has more complex group tactics, whereas the toe-to-toe 1v1 is more involved in WoW. Dropping into a battlefield when you have no clue what you're doing will get you skinned alive just as fast in either.
But ultimately my point is this: if you think the solution to someone whining about can-flipping is to go back to WoW, you're not making sense, because there are no cans in WoW.
