cosmoray Cosmoray Construction	Posted - 2009.08.28 22:47:00 - [1] As you know, EBANK is currently insolvent and all accounts are frozen. EBANK have several proposals on the table, including allowing EBANK to pay back the debt over time (year +). I have spoken to many account holders who have provided account balance information via eve-mail to me. People have generally told me they wish to liquidate their account and take what ISK they can get (20,30,40% or whatever is left). I CURRENTLY SPEAK FOR 316B IN ACCOUNT BALANCES AND OVER 100 ACCOUNT HOLDERS The purpose of this thread is to get the EBANK board to liquidate the bank, and pay back what they can to account holders in the shortest time possible. If you are an account holder with EBANK and wish EBANK to liquidate the bank and pay you what they can, sign in this thread. If you wish you can either add you approximate balance here or eve-mail me. The objective is to get a large enough account balance to take control of events rather than let EBANK tell us what they want to do. note: I am not earning any ISK off of this, I just wish EBANK to close and payout account holders. If required I will forward account details of people wanting out to EBANK for proof.

Ebank has already stated their finances- if they totally liquidated they would be able to pay out a tiny percentage of their debt... But then ebank would be through right? So why not go out in a blaze of glory- take all the isks and give your whiny investors some birdage. One thing we must all agree on is that Ray and the BoD deserve a little time to decide the next step. As soon as Ray realized the bank was seriously insolvent he needed to call a halt. Now, we all need to take a deep breath. In time I think the only sensible option is (optional) liquidation. Ray has shown himself willing to listen to all suggestions, there is no need for haste here.

If ebank can only afford to pay 30% or so for those account at its current value by all means let the accounts take it. There is an opportunity to make a successful bank here, with the right leadership in place. If they don't try this, it will be the end of any banks in eve, forever. They've already chosen the course of action for the bank and the balances they hold. I for one support Ray on this. My recollection is that historically the EBANK Board has tended to speak and act for the *owners* of the Bank (as indeed a Board of Directors generally should). That's not to say that the interests of the owners and the Board have necessarily opposed the interests of the public or of account holders, but it's not necessarily the same thing, either. Of course, if the Board truly understands and is fairly representing what the bulk of account holders want, then cosmoray's exercise will simply support the Board's actions anyhow, so there should be little reason for the Board to oppose his efforts. á á

I know they are doing their best to try restore liquidity and capital access, and I would rather they put good effort into trying to find the best solution, or at least work out how to maximise what return they can get on the current assets, before putting a gun to our isk and nuking 60% of it. Granted, I do not have a need for my 1.6bil isk right now, whereas others may depend on this to survive. I have a solid enough foundation to deal without it.

I don't really think anybody cares what they think. The only way forward now is to quickly and efficiently liquidate salvageable assets and create a mechanism to distribute the remaining isk. Then all the board has to do is fold up their tents and slink off into the night
