Rising, urge is rising to train this to 5. Overheat is soooo usefull (and fun), I can almost rationalize an extra 14 days to take Thermo to 5.
Worth it really? Yes or no.

I use overheat a lot. I trained it to 5. I'm happy.
Wait, don't train it, so i'll have a bit advantage over you :D

personally, i don't find it all that useful: it reduces the heat _damage_ an overloaded module dishes out - "nothing more" :
it has no influence on the heat build-up part. so if your gauge is already at (almost) 100% - and we all know how quickly that happens - a quad-lif mwd takes/leaks 6.15 instead of 6.56 damage. one way or the other it'll be fritzed after the seventh time so no improvement there -.- but yes, in some cases it leads to an extra cycle - or simply to less damage that has to be repaired -.-
i think way more interesting is using t1 modules. if i interpret this corretly, the attribute "heat emission" shown in EFT is responsible to the gauge filling speed, but that's just my theory -.- if so, most t1 versions seem to have less of that which is why i've been more interested in faction armor hardeners lately ^^
but yeah, bottom line is ofc, if you use heat all day every day, lvl5 will always be an improvement - putting the gist back into logistics |

So...I'll hijack this thread with a question: nanite repair paste; is this used automatically or do you have to do something special to repair modules?

You need to have it in your cargo. Then right-click on a damaged module and select "repair" takes a while though and the module is offline during repair - so nothing to during a fight

Thought about that. Assuming I would ever have the balls to take a 1 bil isk OMFGATENGUPRIMARYTENGU! jumped up HAC with no Drones into pvp. Might be hawt (pun intended) for Missioning though.
