That depends on what you want it to do

You'll find it in the same category as good Ibis fits, filed under "things that do not exist". ==========

Can make a decent tackler still doing some dps from outside of heavy neut range. The 75mm rails track well enough to be a decent anti drone weapon, switching to faction ammo. The scram is to protect yourself from Taranis/Crusaders, since you have a range advantage meaning you have a small window in which you can disable their mwd and they cannot disable yours.
An Ares is a better ship (faster).

I've been flying this whenever my corp needs a tackler. So-so in all regards, the missiles were just preference - but it's very cheap, which is why I picked it. This whole setup came to roughly 15mil for me. Don't bother with the fit above - compromising your ability to tackle in any way for pathetic dps is a stupid thing to do. Any gang poor enough to be relying on a Raptor for damage isn't even worth flying with.
Fit to tackle well, then use whatever grid and CPU you have left for weapons.

The Raptor is a tackler, so fit it as one and then stick whatever weapons will fit.
I usually go with something similar to:
Mids: MWD Scram Sensor Booster with Scan Res script.
Lows: Signal Amplifier Nanofibre Nanofibre
Highs: 3 x 75mm Rails
This gives you approx 2,000 Scan Res.

Raptor: Super Shuttle!

Lows: Nanofibers
Rigs: Hyperspacial Velocity Optimizer I x2
19.5AU/S for hilarity ensues!

Y, its a tackler and thats why you fitted scram...
[Raptor, New Setup 1] Damage Control II/ another nano is you dont worry about being 1 volleyd Nanofiber Internal Structure II Overdrive Injector System II

75mm Gatling Rail II, Antimatter Charge S 75mm Gatling Rail II, Antimatter Charge S 75mm Gatling Rail II, Antimatter Charge S Standard Missile Launcher II, Sabretooth Light Missile
Ionic Field Projector I Targeting System Subcontroller I
Use this if you have to, but keep in mind its worst tackler inty around /best is stilleto ofc/. I heard medium extender/mapc fit can work too and give your mates some time to come and kill what you have tackled /but have no personal experiences with it/.

Edited by: Omara Otawan on 01/09/2009 10:20:31 Not really the greatest tackling inty around, but it gets the job done. I'd suggest focusing on your primary role, try to be there before they dropped out of warp.

Imo needs at least 1 module to increase locking range /it cant even lock to overheated disruptor range without it/ - sb without script, sig amplifier or ionic projector.

Dunno, 28km worked for me so far, never felt the need to overheat the point. But you can just run the SB scriptless if you want that, or drop the script once you got point and then extend the orbit.
Though tbh, in my experience, extending the orbit beyond what you need to stay clear of heavy neuts is counterproductive.

The raptor is great as a relatively cheap fast warping shuttle for ferrying around expensive small cargos.
As an interceptor, it's a complete load of crap and in my opinion firmly the absolute worst of the bunch. Maybe if CCP hadn't randomly removed some of its powergrid...

That's not the only reason to extend it - the other is to get that guy who's just out of reach as he's warping off the gate. The extra range means maybe a second or two earlier.
But either way, the Raptor is a bit pile of suck, it's only redeeming feature is that it sucks _so_ much that it's disgustingly cheap.
Anyway, workable raptor fits: [Raptor, Moo] Overdrive Injector System II Capacitor Power Relay II Signal Amplifier II
Warp Disruptor II 1MN MicroWarpdrive II Stasis Webifier II
75mm Gatling Rail II, Spike S 75mm Gatling Rail II, Spike S 75mm Gatling Rail II, Spike S Rocket Launcher II, Gremlin Rocket
Hybrid Locus Coordinator I Low Friction Nozzle Joints I
You have range to 'spike' at your point range. You can orbit on MWD and hold a point (just generally reserve your guns for shooting drones)
