I think it's worth pointing out we didn't use a single of the top used ships/

It's all about the ecm is what I am seeing in this tournament. Big quesiton is will CCP re-think the ecm nerf/buff (30% per level), since similar results lead to damp nerf (and no simultaneous buff there). Instead, I think ECM changes should be moderated back toward what they were, and the other combat recons given range buffs for their ew.
The T3 sub-systems that have ecm bonuses are not the best sub-systems offensively, so they do pay for it, and the ecm bonuses are not what they used to be, it is a lot harder to have good range.
The problem with the T3 is you don't know if someone has ecm on them or not and they are a whole lot more survivable than a rook.
I think you will find after for next round T3's will be more actively be taken out given the potential for them to be ew or logistic setups.
I think you will find a lot more cheap tacklers being used fitted with scanners so while they go after the initial primary target they can figure out how the logistics/T3s are setup, the power of knowledge is valuable. If the logistic ship is a dupe you can pretty much ignore it. I'd take out EW ships first or go for a soft dps ship first while you figured out what the T3s and Logistics ships are packing.

Also, lol, 4 of the top 5 ships used are Caldari. Yes the tournament is not real pvp, but hopefully this will convince the many Caldari whiners that their ships can in fact pvp. PvP is a gang thing, CCP does not want it to be solo, and it has steadily becoming less soloable for all races (speed nerf being part of that).
Caldari improved a lot post speed nerf where you could actually do some damage to smaller ships with smaller missiles.
The reason Caldari are popular in this tournament is they have much stronger sensors, superior range, missiles have a natural long range, the superior form or EW and the arena is very small reducing the deficiencies of Caldari, a lot of small fast ships have accidently left the field of combat trying to use speed. The tournament conditions make some Caldari ships very popular choices given their versatility and durability.

I didn't get a good look at all the tengus fielded, however many of the ones I looked at were running the electronic subsystem for range and sensor strength rather than jamming.
If you have 70ish sensor strength from that subsystem plus one ECCM and pack a range scripted sensor booster with long range weapons (got to stay away from the short range gank ships) then you have a decent anti-rook setup which can handle a couple of damps being thrown on it too.

Caldari combat ships are used because you don't have to weaken your tank slots with a point. PvP may be a gang thing - but you still have to tackle people.
Big difference between this tournament and Tranquility.

Just dont shoot a legion if you see it, those things can have an insane buffer tank... as in 1.3million EHP...

Pretty interesting how that is. Does that ever scream boost gallente; Isnt the gallente fail warfare team doing horrible? Also makes you wonder why caldari are so popular when statistically they are doing worse then amarr or minnie.
Statistically minnie are the best. Yet they are the least fielded.
Gallente are supposed to be some of the best pvpers. Yet they are doing so poorly all around. BUFF GALLENTE!
3/10 sansha: 30% death
MUHAHAHAHA. I wonder why stain is such a ****stain.
Hey man, you might want to check those numbers as they are updated... It was amarr who fielded the fewest at 228
Minmatar at 230
Gallente at 286
And Caldari at 363
I dunno that you want to use the stats to argue for a gallente buff

So if you ran a 100% Gallente setup you should have a high odds of losing right.
Gallente 98% Gallente setup.

Reason why we're seeing so many Caldari hulls is simply because of the heavy use of missiles. Missiles have an advantage when there is heavy E-WAR going on and/or energy vamping.
