Looking for the best partner for a curse for some dual boxing PvP. Tried a few things but nothing really seems to have much synergy. Tried light tackling frigate to catch things at gates but the curse does such pitiful DPS that anything can just slowboat back to the gate or wait for their friends to show up, plus once the curse gets the tackle the frigate is completely redundant anyhow. However, its hard for the curse to get the tackle since nothing but heavy hitting missile ships would even consider engaging without fleet support. The other guy is real light on SP, like 3.1 mil, in caldari ships. Any suggestions? I'd cross train to another race but not for anything bigger than frigates, his training queue is long enough as it is.
Thanks in advance.

fit the spare high with either a remote rep for when the curse gets shot at, or a cap xfer to keep the neuts running.. and then fit rep drones.

^You know RRs have a 8km range, right? And the curse shield tanks, right?
Since the curse will be taking the majority of your attention, between keeping range, managing your cap and your drones, and watching your tank, you will want something that's fairly low-maintenance. Set it and forget it.
The curse suffers a bit from low dps, so with that in mind I'd bring something like a drake or raven.

Low sp caldari?
Either a HAM ferox or blaster drake.
Cheap.. enough hp to be bait and tackle + reasonable DPS.
As mentioned above a torp ravens better but it'd take load more sp + isk.
Your still going to have issues catching anyone.
I'd suggest swapping the curse to a pilgrim which should make things abit easier.

Rapier or Huginn. Won't boost the DPS, but will sure help with that reapproaching problem.. ________________________________________

Crow.
Keep the Curse OUT of the system, tackle with the Crow, THEN jump the Curse in and warp to the target.
Why? As soon as people see a Curse on their scanner their brains instantly go "IT'S A LION, GET IN THE CAR" and they all dock up, cloak or jump to another system real fast.
Unless it's a trap, or unless they're complete tools.
Or you could go mad and use a Falcon with a scram and blasters in addition to the usual jamming fun. I like to solo in my blaster-falcon... Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

All jokes aside about blasterdrakes :(
a Blackbird would be useful for for ECM aswell as a wee bit additional damage.
But if you really need added damage a Caracal with a buffer would do a nice bit of volley damage.

Most ideal would be Arazu imo, they both have the range to use RSD's properly (especially with the Arazu's long point). If the Arazu uses a combo of range and scanres damping you can use drones just nicely. Arazu does initial tackling and holds the target, Curse arrives and lays down the dps and cap suckage.
For a low SP char a blackbird obviously. Takes only a little bit of SP, the ships are cheap and they can REALLY make a difference.

Arazu.
Reason? It removes the biggest downside of the Curse - the fear factor. Just point them at range and damp them - then bring the Curse into system to kill them.

I'd go for passive tanked drake aswell. Why? Someone already mentioned that the curse demands a ****load of micro-management. You won't have any spare time to fiddle with your other ship. Sit drake on gate, tackle victim with curse, activate launchers of the drake, and back to your curse piloting.
Apart from that, get a real partner..
