what is the best money maker (ore) for mining in high sec. cause some of the ones i have seen that have high price also have high volume so its like ur getting less of them even though each one is more profit. i am posting this to attempt to determine which ore in high sec space generally provides the most return while keeping volume in mind. i hope this sense, thanks to anyone who responds.

Too bad you weren't relentless in searching for this info on your own...one on the front page even...

Fixed.
You need to determine isk per m3. You're on the right track. Now do it yourself and have a nice feeling of self satisfaction when you find out on your own. _____________________________________________

No you just asked us to do your homework for you.
It's not hard to figure out. I suggest using a spreadsheet though because it does change and that will keep you from killing off more trees when you have to repeat the calculations on a weekly basis. --Vel

1. What was the insult? 2. If you find an insult, you were the one asking for the insult with your original post. 3. Would it have killed you to look in a few threads yourself? 4. How come on the post, your profanities show as *******, but when I quote you, I can see it? I mean, what's the point?

Edited by: Dasola on 11/09/2009 18:35:46 Is it just me or dose this game seem to lure in basic math challenged people. Was about to mention lazy in previous sentence, but that would be insulting. So it must be that math thats couse of trouble here.
Took me like 5 min to come up spreadsheet for it myself. Just insert prices of ore and minerals and it does all that difficult math needed to calculate most profitable ore even in highsec areas.

when quoting someone's swears/curses/profanities...they will show as normal in the "reply to topic" screen, but will be censored when you "post reply"
just a small FYI _____________________________________________

So back to my point, why bother censoring? The protection I was afforded to see if there was a response was negated when I quoted him in my response. I am thoroughly offended by what he called me and I am going to report him. Wow, LOL.

It's because of semi-lazy coding, the engine that pulls the info from the DB simply does what's probably a regex search for censored words, then just replaces them with asterisks. It could have been coded to replace the censored words when it's pulling the text from the textbox and putting it into the DB, but it's not. -------------------------------------------------

http://sites.google.com/site/evebsac/ (Linkage) Click the "ore income" tab. VOILA !
Right now : Jaspet sucks big time (and it has sucked badly for a long time, and will still keep on sucking) Omber sucks too (unless you sell the basic version to the L3 mission-runners that get "materials for war preparation" storyline) and will keep on sucking Kernite is the overall winner (and again, basic version sold to L4 mission-runners this time will make even more ISK)
Just about everything else you GET IN HIGHSEC is pretty much the same, with Pyroxeres a bit on the low side. You can never go wrong with Veldspar, and Plagioclase is pretty good too.

the only person that helped was the last person who posted that webiste, which was really the only thing i was looking for. any other question i ask about this game and someone links me a site and that explains it, that is what i was looking for. wow there are so many people on this game who cant seem to stand new players, makes it pretty clear why there arent more new members. its quite a shame towards CCP really imo, theyve put forth quite possibly the greatest mmo ever and new people shun from it because of the people playing the game already.i personally know 3 people i started trial with and i am the only person to buy the game from it.

perhaps if you made an effort to look for it yourself, you would save all the trouble. most people in eve will gladly rip you apart, if you let yourself. it's just nature of the game, working as intended.
do your research before you ask questions. your particular question is asked at least once per week. how hard is it to type "most profitable ore" in search box?

Maybe you haven't noticed, but this forum doesn't yet support such high-tech and advanced features like 'searching'. You can't expect new players to know that there is a third party site (eve-search) which has a license from microsoft to use forum searching software.

Edited by: Bubba Wilkins on 15/09/2009 18:10:18 It's a not a simple question, so your not going to get straight answers most of the time. Your best solution is to make a spreadsheet as has been suggested and update it periodically as the markets fluctuate.
For instance, for me it's like this:
Ore Total Refined ISK/hr Veldspar 7,090,631 Scordite 6,650,034 Pyroxeres 5,793,616 Plagioclase 7,314,457 Omber 4,207,867 Kernite 7,135,343 Jaspet 4,102,925 Hemorphite 4,880,141 Hedbergite 6,170,442 Gneiss 12,740,557 Dark Ochre11,817,986 Crokite 23,534,449 Spodumain11,594,004 Bistot 32,328,447 Arkanor 41,538,194
Now, these numbers jump all over what you would expect. The reason is they are based on existing buy orders as of yesterday, within reasonable distance of where I mine. The output is also based on my mining skills. You mileage may vary. I currently tag team a Hulk and an Orca.
If your willing to stockpile and put up a sell order, you can probably get more. Then again, you may have to wait a while for someone to buy it... I prefer cash in hand.

There's also Grismar's Ore Calculator, which is a bit cleaner and easier on the eyes.
Or just write up a spreadsheet that calculates the reprocessed value of any item per cubic metre. First column: item name. A column somewhere for unit size, column for refining batch size, columns for the quantity of each mineral the item refines into, column for ISK/unit, column for ISK/m3. Wasn't that easy? :)

How about Rule number 1 of asking for help? 'EVE Online is an unfriendly place for trolls and people suffering from PMS'. OP go do your homework or use the search function first or go back to WoW or whichever hole you crawled out from. Shame you didn't behave like this when a GM or ISD was online, they'd have slapped you into shape.
