imagine 30m t2 invulns, 20m t2 guns this will increase the variety in people's fits since they will start using sub-t2 meta items again
tbh i am tired of full t2 fits spamming the killboards

I agree. I'm tired of the loot drops being 1% of the total value of the ship. What falls off after it's exploded should be a higher percentage of the total fit value of the ship. -- Bellum Eternus Inveniam viam aut faciam.

industry is always with you
Previously the margin was so low that invention was paid less than an asian person in a sweatshop. If prices continue to grow industry and invention may become profitable and fun again, and more importantly will allow to accumulate capital for growth and expansion.
Business must be profitable for every single inventor, and 'perfect competition' only makes this profession very unattractive.

seeing the effect of the ferrofluid(?) exploit fixing on the price of t2 ships, this could easily be implemented too: raising the requirements to build, plus the incoming nerf to moongold

I remember the 20M T2 Cap Recharger era. And at that time pilots whined about how they couldn't afford T2 items, and the result was that they lost to the people who could so they never stood a chance.
But as long as you don't raise the Veldspar Crystal II market I couldn't care if the items cost 1M or 20M... oh wait I control the crystal market go ahead.

CCP want T2 and T3 ships (HACs) to cost about the same and be just as widely used. Now if CCP raise the price of HACs in line with these proposed changes T2 HAC prices will, eventually, mirror T3 prices. GREAT SUCCESS!
Also the other thing that will happen is that OP will come to these same forums trolling, whining and crying that its KB is being spammed by T1 ships fitted with useless T1 modules. OP needs more tissues.

This is not really true... if invention is only yielding very low profit margins then it will mean that fewer people will invest their time and energy into invention. This will mean that less t2 mods are produced without the demand for those mods decreasing. This will mean that the t2 prices start to increase which will in turn increase the profit margins of invention. As soon as this happens more people will start inventing again and more t2 will be produced so the price will fall again... So after a while the price for t2 mods will balance it self out.
Thats how a free market works.

From a given T2 ship+fit loss (assuming no rigs): 50% of the cost should be ship's price, 50% of the cost should be from mods, 25% of the loot would be dropped. This would make piracy a possibility again maybe. Make a thread about it in Assembly Hall and you will have my support.

You assume that inventors and producers in eve are intelligent. "what do you mean these data cores aren't free? My agent gave them too me for nothing! I was actually mining some more minerals to make a raven to sell at 50mil!" -_-_-_-

T2 prices were nice and low long before the trinity expansion.
edit: and btw, T2 prices can never be as high as during early t2 days due to the current abundance of faction mods. EVE Trivia EVE History

The efficient market hypothesis? Maybe you haven't been keeping up with current events in the real world but that hypothesis was just dragged into an alley and beaten to within an inch of its life. The assumption that all actors in the market are rational, well informed and taking the long view is, quite simply, invalid.
