1 Million ISK per plate!?
It had better be some damn nice food for that sort of money. Even so, I think I'll pass on this one...

I am quite certain that the campaign will come to a safe halt after the fund raising is finished, but still... nice try, mr. Valius. I actually like your idea. ________________________________________ .

Alternatively feel free to come to The Last Gate or the Skyhook, eat some of the best food in the cluster for free or for less than the price of an entire starship, and organise more meaningful pursuits.
Nationalists never fail to amuse me with their stupidity. Its a good job Damordred is competent and running for office, because the only other options seem to be morons and senile geriatrics.

Well obviously I will have trouble funding my campaign unlike my candidate Mr. Roden, who I believe is still receiving money from his corporation, and i rely on donations to pay for any expenses that arise

I believe we have some confusion over what exactly the Gallante Federation is so lets examine some simple words [clicks on a data pad and the screen fades to display the data pad]
Federation: A federated body formed by a number of nations, states, societies, unions, etc., each retaining control of its own internal affairs.
This would indicate the Gallante Federation is more in line with a Represenative Republic and not the text book example of a Democracy.
Democracy: Government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.
I hope this clears that up.
Would you also call for the disbanding of Concord which would leave pilots open to unwanted aggresion?

Ask the Caldari how much internal control they were given. The Federation is simply an Empire which, instead of taking over it's neighbours by force, made them an offer they couldn't refuse. Especially not after they'd already accepted it.
The 'Federation' title is a bit of a misnomer, perhaps, because all of the individual members have given their power to one government, which is composed of the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial arms. These arms do not hold any more power on Gallente Prime than they did the Intaki system before the Caldari war machine swept it up, and aside from the District Parliaments their power is absolute.
All citizens rvote for this government, which makes it a democracy as opposed to simply representative: A Representative Federation would more likely entail the leaders of the various organizations within it electing the Federal Government.
As it has been previously pointed out that the only local governments to speak of are the District Parliaments, which do not have any direct say in the composition of the Federal Government, the idea of it being Representative is clearly proven false. In fact, the Gallente hold perhaps least Federation0like government of the four major empires.
The Empire is divided into different holdings, in which each Holder has sweeping power. Though if the Empress were to tell them to do something they would need to comply, the cases of that happening are few and far between. as long as the Holders comply to a fairly loose set of rules they're allowed to do as they wish.
The Republic is so divided between the tribes that cultural power alone has more say in what the average Matari does than the Republic Government.
The State, ironically, is the most like a Federation: It is run entirely between eight powers, each with their own economic, production, and even military power. They own everything under their control, and have nearly absolute power over that which they own. Though they do follow one man, this is a new development and he has virtually no actual power over anything but a Navy whose military power is weaker than the combined private forces of the eight groups. Each group stays within this coalition of their own free will, which is aided by the fact they're far more powerful united than they could ever be apart.
I hope this clears that up.

A few minor corrections.
The "one man" controls one of the more powerful of the eight major powers.
He does not directly control the Caldari Navy.
The Caldari Navy is different from the private corporate security firms in its composition and mission; one of which is supplementing those security firms with strategic assets they may not have and providing a unified command structure for State-level operations.
