My first question is, can you jam a Titan? If so, the new killer beam laser to kill dreads is fail.
But that's the sad part, rest of the blog is actually quite nice.
Motherships will not be able to fit clone vat bays, triage mods and additional warfarelinks.
Instead of that motherships will have fighterbombers. These new drones shoot torpedoes... Holy ****ing hell!

Currently titans and motherships can't be jammed, its not mentioned if this will be changed.

Nice changes imo.
And I guess nobody will really whine about it, since nobdy (other then carebears that got no clue) really likes DD as it is now.

Some Devs kept DDing folks on Sisi yesterday, including my avarage PVP buffer Raven (needed two DDs to kill).

personally i like the ddd the way it use to be when it first came out, but i guess it would be a fare compromise is the ddd can actually kill a dread on one blow.. but somehow i don't see this actually happening

It also says that they are giving a health and turret/missile boost to Titans.
I think the amount of this boost will play a pretty big role in determining if Titans are "worth" building or not. a .5x boost to turrets and health wouldn't be very valuable considering what they've lost... a 10x or 20x boost might make them worthwhile.

If a titan can live long enough under a couple hundred sieged dreads and a titan lazor or two long enough to get repped this might actually be a good change. Especially with the triage buff.

I do believe the Ragnarok is getting a 17-barrel, 21,000mm Vulcan Autocannon. Unfortunately, though, it can only be loaded with Hail ammunition.

If you read the Test Server Feedback forum you'll see the stats on the new Titans. The info is from the db dump, and will probably change a few times but the boost is:
Quote: Erebus Shield increased from 275,000 to 687,500 Armor increased from 325,000 to 1,300,000 Hull increased from 400,000 to 800,000
Gallente Titan Skill Bonuses: 225% bonus to Capital Hybrid Turret damage per level 7.5% bonus to gang members' maximum armor HP per level 99% reduction in CPU need for Warfare Link modules Can fit Aurora Ominae Super Weapon Can fit Jump Portal Generator Can fit Clone Vat Bay Can fit 1 additional Warfare Link module per level Immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare
This works out as a 1125% with Titan V, which is nearly twice the damage bonus a sieged dread gets...and the titan can field twice as many guns so...
The "super weapon" is 2 million dmg.
Quote: Here's the new Doomsday information. New is the right, old is the left state

Ohhh, I missed the current numbers, thanks for that.
With the cost of a Titan, I'm not sure that having 3x-4x as much health as they have now is going to be enough. I was thinking that a number much larger would be needed.

9-10Km, IIRC. So out of range of T2, in range of the fancy officer smarties. As it should be tbh.

Well actually titans are now the Super BS/Commandship. Unlike dreads they don't have to Siege to do that insane damage.

It's fairly easy to tank a dread for 2M EFHP in every resist, if that stat stays I'm sure there will be plenty of tears when the biggest glass cannon in eve fails to blow up even 1 ship before getting ganked.

Skills are probably applied on top of that. Doomsday Operation V = +50% so that would be 3 mil which should be enough to instapop any T2 fit dread. Slave implants push most fittings over 3M, though, so they would become even more important to dread pilots. T2 fit carriers with lg slaves will mostly fall just short of 3M so they are probably better targets for triggerhappy titans.
Sounds fairly balanced tbh. ----------------------

Still, they do get 6 guns with 200% bonus per level. Being just out of the 3mhp reach probably will not save you :) ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |

I'm not too worried about their offensive capabilities. The DDD and the 1,125% bonus to guns isn't terrible. As long as they are able to stay on the field and use that damage, then I think it will be okay.
I'm more worried about their ability to stay on the field and survive. The changes to health gives them about 6-7 times as much health as a dreadnought. Considering they don't get a siege module to buffer tank, I'm thinking that in order for them to survive under heavy fire long enough for carriers to effectively triage them, they might need closer to 20-25x as much as a Dreadnought.
Or better yet, 10-12x as much as a dreadnought and +10% to shield, armor, and hull resistances per level of titan skill, which would make RR a bit more viable.
