Edited by: Blane Xero on 17/09/2009 04:39:16 Now i don't know why i'm posting this here, but i thought it was quite funny.
Over the last few months there has been an incremental amount of Spam coming into one of my email inboxes, I usually check it every week or so, but this time something new came up.
Someone has registered an EA master account and a PSN network account to my Email. They then proceeded to furiously attempt to have my password reset a few times (Before apparently giving up.)
I have no way of contacting this person at all to tell them to kindly GTFO from trying to piggyback my email account. Though i do have their PSN name. Is there any point in contacting microsoft about this? My only real concern is the fact that the PSN notification email actually spat out his "Signup" (Doesn't look real anyway) address (and name) into my inbox. And that if this continues he may persist in contacting microsoft and i may very well have my account contested
Its an odd situation, but had anyone ever encountered this?
Edit: Just checked google maps, and it does seem the address might be legit. Oh dear. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

send him a box via *fastest shipping possible* containing a device that might look like a bomb, and a message stating "GTFO of my email account, *****" or similar. Then, followup with a nice letter asking to solve the problem like civilized people. Blane Xero > Lance is at -0.9 sec status with a 1 million bounty. LAnce is also amarrian. Thats 3 evil points |

some of smaller email hosts might fall for this is they have a lazy support team who wont check the history of the user logging in (IE ip adress (and ranges of them))
if you are using you ISPs email account, or any major players like yahoo, MSN/Live/hotmail, gmail, I wouldn't worry too much.
If crap does hit the fan, they will probably contact you via that account so they can figure this crap out, or even be on the safe side and contact any one of their customer services so you nix the chance of it being ganked from you by some lame kid who thinks a 10+ year old scam still works.

That would be hiarious, potentially creating legal issues, but hilarious non the less.
