Micro SB kills titans
Just curious...how the hell did that happen?
2nd Titan Kill.
I believe it was Digi, too (DigitalCommunist). Got recruited into D2 (Dusk and Dawn alliance, formed out of I wanna say part of G after the great northern war). Was actually working for Evolution / BoB. D2 had one of three titans in the game (ASCN's having been destroyed, Shrike owned his, and I think Enslaver or maybe Red Alliance owned one).
Anyway, Digi microsmartbombed the titan right before log out, giving it an aggression timer. Cyno in BoB cap fleet, probe out titan, kill.
May have some facts wrong. --

I thought it would be awesome to fit a scorp with 8x ecm bursts and warp in at 0 and just cycle them and just jam everything....
warped in, turned the first one on, so far so good, turn the second on, I said turn the second on, wait what is that? only 1 can be used at a time?
luckily it was at FFA1 on the test server, never tried that one again
although I think I would have to vote for Energized Basic Adaptive Nano Plating You're posting again!? Has it really been 5 mins?

Shield flux coils are crap. Regenerative platings are crap.
Cap batteries *are* useless. For them to be practical, they would have to give 20% or more capacity to a ship (match t2 rechargers), which they never, EVER, do. Not only that but rather than 1 pg and some cpu (dependent on skills) the large ones take 100's of PG and are worse than the same recharger.

Actually, cap batteries often work better, for that exact reason: they often give you a better recharge than the equivalent cap recharger. At 700 cap for a LCBII, your ship needs to have 3500 cap or more for the battery to give you less than a 20% boost.
In addition, cap batteries give you buffer, and buffer is good. Always.
Also, due to how cap works, you cannot directly compare the numbers of a cap amount increase and a cap recharge time decrease. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Large cap Batteries fit very nicely on Ishtars, for example, where a standard fit has spare PG, and they definitely add MUCH more total recharge than 20%.

Edited by: Flex Nebura on 23/09/2009 00:53:01 cap batteries are useful same way shield extenders are. more buffer and at some point you just get diminishing returns for trying to reduce recharge time.
also I think ore scanners are pretty useless.

I have an ore scanner on my hulk, very useful when I'm targetting two roids as it helps to know which one needs two strip miners, and which needs one.

Do you mean Survey Scanners? I use them every day I go hisec mining, they are indispensable to maximize yield (and not waste a 3 minutes' cycle for getting 3 units of plagio, for example...)

Well, your facts are totaly wrong.
Easy example is the Vexor, when you fir a Large Battery or a Medium t2 Battery, 1 cap recharger and a medium armor rep, your cap stable, try to fit 3x cap recharger and your still not cap stable.
Oversized mods on medium (cruiser) ships is always fun and gives unexpected results.
My vexor's are always buffer tanked...

I once put a small shield extender on a Merlin
Totally worthless modules, along with 50mm and 100mm armor plates.
Cap batteries are very useful on covops, which have a tendency to cap out on long warps.

Dramaticus said "your fits are terrible" Clearly you have no idea what the difference is between a very good fit and terrible fit. If a fit works much better with an Autotargeter then without, then it's not a terrible fit if you use one.

All officer's modified stasis webifiers are pretty useless.
1. Spend a billion or so for the module (Tobais' modified Stasis Webifier is the best one)
What are you going to fit it on? A Tempest? An Apocalypse? A Domi? LOL. The module is worth 10 times the ship.
2. Spend a billion or so on a pirate faction battleship and faction tank. Bhaalgorn seems like a good candidate. It has a stasis webifier range bonus.
3. this is the ??? step
4. Profit? Your 2 1/2 billion isk officer web Bhaalgorn can now webify a target at 30km. This is 75% the range a 150 million isk Huginn can reach with a T2 webifier.
EPIC FAIL.

Guillame you stick the Tobais' modified Stasis Webifier on a Kronos you get -90% speed with 20km range. Perfect for a railgun ship in PvE and it's not worth x10 the ship.
If you're like me and have a gang ship then its over 25km web range at -90% speed. If you want something useless look at the Sansha modified gnome implant. It's hard to get and worse than a KVA2000 standed implant.

Did you just tell me 2.5bil is to much to get almost the same range of a ship that can't do anything but web, on a ship that gets a neuting bonus AND battleship guns and tank? Not to mention the awesomeness it gets with dominion.
