Some simple questions, and I'm hoping they can be replied to in a simple manner or maybe with some setup help. I PVP but recently I've been lower on ISK than I'm used to, and it needs to change. I checked and noticed I have a L4 agent, which Im not really sure if I've ever used before. Long story short, I've taken one of my Absolutions into Highsec and plan on refitting solely for the intention of PVE and running L4's. So, that said:
Pulses or Beams? I assume MWD's will be a non-factor in most missions? So I'm leaning towards beams, but either will be fine.
Scorch or other? I know T2 crystals are breakable, but do the advantages of scorch outweigh using T1 or Faction?
Tanking and Cap management. A booster will most likely be fit. I just dont expect to be able to run a L4 without one in a laser spewing ship. Just fit lows with hardeners versus whatever I'm up against? (Active or Passive is a better question?)
And I'll also take tips if you like...I'm open for about any information regarding missions.

Shouldn't be hard to fit a perma-tank with cap rechargers and maybe cap rigs.
Go for beams, you will enjoy the longer range. Change hardeners depending on mission.
I would go for AB together with those beams.

I'll probably get flamed for not having heat sinks, but meh... it perma runs!
Change the armour hardeners for mission specific etc...
As for which crystals, its down to your own preference, i myself prefer Ultraviolet over anything
