Hey,
I tried searching for things I knew I had in a station container and no results came up. Didn't know if this was a bug on my end or... CCP's. Thanks in advance.

working as intended. I have heard that there is an api related program that will search inside containers but I don't remember it's name. ------------------------------------------------

I'd love to see them take a look at this some day. We don't have a lot of tools to organize our stuff in game, and with containers unsearchable...

Well, your ship has come in. Items in containers could possibly be viewable through assets tab with Dominion. It's currently on SISI. True story.

Would also be awesome if the "Fit" option in the stored fittings window would take stuff from containers in your hangar.

I second this .. as I have bought Station Containers, to sort out my inventory, and to help me keep order in my home station.
When I salvage and loot ships I have killed after missioning .. I take all the stuff out .. and dump it right into the station. And in the station Containers I have the Modules, ammunition and other items that are of use to me or of some Value.
And I would very much like to choose to Fit my mission ship From my Station Containers.

I use Eve Asset Manager when I need to see what is in cans. In addition to general lists of what you own, you can create queries to just list what's in a specific can or in all cans at a particular station.

third.
BTW, I think EveHQ also allows you to search in your containers, but I use EVE Asset manger for that as well. --- Sol: A microwarp drive? In a battleship? Are you insane? They arenĘt built for this! Clear Skies - The Movie

I can attest that EveAssetManager is a good program. Just be aware that your Full API key is required. Took me several tries to realize that as it isn't made clear on the API lookup screen. (I'm sure it's in the help somewhere).
