I know there is a "hanger container" , just me I don't REALLY need all the huge room just a .. seperate spot to place items I don't want to sort thru every time I go to grab stuff to sell/refine. IF.. I were to buy one of these anyway, I know they are too large to move so you need to contract them when you move or just leave it.
Could I get by with using a GSC or something on that line "partition" my hanger?? I am curious if you have to have a hanger container to use in a hanger? I really just want it to store my BP's and stuff I "may" use later on when I get itch to do something different, no sense buying it when I already have it for free. also spare armor hardners, miner II's, drones, things I have no intention of selling any tinme soon, etc.
game interace question. home machine I have no problems with my windows opening where I place them/last used them. fr'instance I set my cargo to always be lowest left hand corner and as small as I can make it, I have it set when I open a loot window it opens same size right on top of the cargo window, I just drag itmes straight down. Hanger the window is free floating in middle of screen and I drag it as big as I need for the particular time I am using it. At work (sssshhhhhh boss plays too :P) the ONLY window that stays where I put it is my cargo. when I open a loot window it pops to whereever I last opened positioned my hanger iotems and vice-versa. Am I missing some setting that .. perhaps I read about first week and have already forgotten? ( I am old this IS a possibility).

I just use the smaller containers for storing BP's, the small can is often enough as they don't take a great deal of space, if that's all you are looking to use them for.
Larger containers are useful for modules and ammo, but then I find that station containers can be cheaper than the cargo containers so it's often more cost effective to buy one or two of those then sell them on if you move on. Either that or get a BPO off the market for a station warehouse, build a couple then sell them on. ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.

Hangar
Hanger
To answer your question, yes you can use a GSC, but it won't have as much storage space as a station vault or any of the containers in the same size category. The only reason to go with GSCs or General Freight Containers would be if you intend to move the goods en-masse, and even if you do you can buy those freight containers when the need arises. -----

As to your window issue - did you remember to pin the windows at your work computer? EvE's default behaviour when windows aren't pinned it to use the last location a window was opened at.
If you did and it still keeps happening, one of the files in your cache folder has become corrupted. Delete the cache folder (it's usually in Application Data/CCP on windows XP), and let EvE re-create it on next login. You'll need to reset (and PIN) them, as well as re-create your Overview settings (export 'em first, then re-import them) as well as your default color scheme. That usually fixes it.

It does sound a bit like a cache issue, possibly to do with the network setup you have at work causing the cache to not be saved correctly. I sometimes have the client crash and find that it's lost my cache settings so when I log in the next time I find everything has reset back to defaults.
As suggested above, export overview settings and copy the cache folder to somewhere else then you can easily drop it back in if you lose it. ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.

OK I will take a look Wednesday when I return to work, thanks for the ideas :) Hadn't thought about the network, very possible, doubtful it's the pc itself unless possibly a group policy interfering with something, more likely network tho. Thanks
