Apparently I'm too fast and need to slow down (according to the board) when I post.
"Damn kids, have no respect. Posting like a bat out of hell...always rushing with their new fangled internets, and mp3 players and STDs, and fast food.
Back in my day if we got one post out a day we were lucky.
Kids today need to slow down and savor the bandwidth. All 4k of it."
Anyhoo....how long will this bottleneck be around? ___________________________________________________ Idea: Train 3 alts at the same time solution. |

I, too, like keylogger spam.
Anyone else notice that the spam and "My account got hacked" posts have basically dried up?
The timer is a good thing.

I liked the spam and the "I got hacked" threads... it let us know who bought isk and who came to the Eve forums looking for pron And now I need to take a 5 minute nap before I have the energy to post again. |

Unfortunately, they were slowly adapting. A few of those keylogger threads starting posting about UI setups. Not quite EVE appropriate, but it wouldn't be too long before they started making posts with a link to a keylogger claiming to be a killboard, or some other EVE-related topic.
It was only a matter of time before the keyloggers became self aware and take over the Internets.

They used the "Far from Homeworld" comic as a template too. There was also one where they Immitated Eve tribune i think... _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Back in my day we had to work to bypass forum timers! We didn't have these simple methods todays generations have. I remember once walking 300 miles, barefoot, both in the freezing snow and burning hot magma. At the same time! Yes back then it was both freezing and boiling rock at the same time. And we enjoyed it. We didn't complain. If we did complain you can be sure there would be punishment. And we didn't complain about that, because complaining about punishment for complaining would be rather silly. I once had to walk 400 miles, barefoot (because we didn't have shoes back then!), up a mountain just to be punished. And back then mountains were mountains. Not these rocky hills you get today. You just don't get mountains like you did back then. Todays rocky hills have no respect.

It's because of operation "unholy rage".
Long story short: CCP banned some accounts and did some PLEXadvertising. Also, in a dev blog, they showed us a wall of graphs, which essentially proof that if you ban accounts, the load on the servers decreases.
Then CCP had to introduce all sorts of timers, because the ISK farmers in their unholy rage started to spam the game and forum.
But at least we got rid of all the ISK farmers.
Meanwhile, the unholy rage of CCP and the ISK farmers has subsided, and it is the players expressing their unholy rage against CCP for cripling the game and the forum.
This, in turn, may enrage CCP, and they might stop all actions against ISK farmers because of the unthankfulness of the players. Then everything starts again from the beginning.
