Edited by: Imperator Jora''h on 27/09/2009 02:12:10 I have a vague memory that CCP made it if you were at a POS and logged off your ship would not do the emergency warp out thing. Makes sense since if you were in a cap ship/titan this could be a real pain in the arse and possibly dangerous.
That said I continually find myself logging in at my POS only to find myself in the middle of nowhere and warping back. I have taken to making sure I am in my CovOps when I log off so this is a minor problem and not much to fuss about but still...is there a way to make sure you stay at the POS when you log out? Or just one of those quirks we have to live with?

1) you log out 2) you stay in the force field 3) you disappear 4) ??? 5) you log on 6) you are in space and begin warping back to the pos where you logged out. You're posting again!? Has it really been 5 mins?

Right. That is what happens (well, I actually do not know if I warp away to others or stay in the POS and disappear only to reappear elsewhere on login).
But I thought (and certainly could be wrong) that as people got cap ships and more specifically Titans warping out of the POS was a bad thing. Think how long it takes a Titan to align and warp on login. Not to mention some quick enemies might even be able to jump it.
As such I *thought* (could certainly be misremembering) CCP made it so inside a POS shield logging out did not warp you off.
Yet it does.
So, did I remember wrong? Am I doing something wrong? Working as intended?

The bit you didn't notice is that you don't warp out. You only warp in.

Thanks.
Seems a silly mechanic but is what it is. Good to know.

Of course you won't see the warp out, you logged off And now I need to take a 5 minute nap before I have the energy to post again. |

Could be people exit their ship before logging.

This. Ejecting then logging makes pods instawarp, and they instawarp back when you log on.
