Scheduling it at the same time as the Airwaves festival was great; I saw some pretty cool bands rock the house. I wish the beer was cheaper.
The Dev conference was very awesome... I really enjoyed all of the peeks into how and when things were done from the beginning, I wasn't aware of any of that prior to Hilmar's excellent presentation. I was mightily impressed with the dev team as a whole, as well ... I've been accused of being a fanboi by several of my friends, but I feel that my passion for the game is warranted because it is appreciated and returned by the dev team - the game you all are striving for is the one I've been wanting to play since I was 10 years old. Just add some Battletech combat on planets in Kali next year, and you will triple your subscription base. :)
Also met so many awesome people ... was great fun. It's always really great to meet people that you share this common geeky interest with and find out they are normal folks, too.
Tonight I will start posting up pictures.

I have to agree there. I was lucky enough to meet Skogul at the fest and have to say that it's no surprise you had fun m8 CCP gets a big for the whole thing, plenty of free beer and Quafe Ultra. ------------------------------- Be fair, share and try to care. Podkill the podkillers! |

Absolutely. Will/want to be there next year. Loved the country, went on the tours, enjoyed meeting the Devs, but above all, enjoyed meeting the Fans.
(Actually, I thought the Quafe Queen nonsense was the low point, but I'm an old man)

Had an absolutely awesome time and I can remember most of it (although much of Friday night is a bit hazy) . Being able to do so many different things made it good (the Fanfest, Airwaves and sightseeing). Very impressed with the Dev Team and their enthusiasm. They made the presentations interesting and fun (not an easy thing to do). I now want to shout EVE from the rooftops and get everyone to play it. Can't wait til the Exodus trailer is released - it would be really cool to see this at the Cinema (possible marketing avenue??).
Definitely would attend again and although Iceland is pricey I don't think I would have had as much fun elsewhere
Oh yes - and even though there were very few of us girls (I counted about 3 girl gamers), the crowd was far less geeky than expected and the guys I met were all a great laugh. Agree with Malarkey, Quafe Queen was the low point but then I would have preferred a Quafe King

I thought the Quafe Queen stuff was a riot ... didn't you see the terrified looks on their faces? All of them thinking (in icelandic of course) "what have I gotten myself into, I'm being ogled by 200 drunk computer geeks!" Very entertaining. I love a good trainwreck.
