Is there a scenario for the use Void Ammo?
I was looking at it, and while the capacitor req's can be negated with good skills, and it has better range over Faction/regular ammo, the tracking penalty makes me want to throw it out the window.
Where would one use void? Specifically Void M. I'd surmise against a stationary target, but who's gonna be POS Bashing in cruisers/BC ?

You can use it vs tackled BS if you are not orbiting. Then again it takes up cargo space and does not realy more damage than faction antimatter, beside the cheaper price, there is no real reason to use it ever(yes it is a bit more optimal and therm damage but the diffrence is very minor).
I havenŠt used void since ages and also only see it used sometimes by newer players. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

Void is terrible. Hail has a lot of good use (the other questionable T2 ammo for Minmatar), but Void is just really bad.
It's a sign of a bad PvP'er if you see it loaded 99% of the time. ___________________

I use it in Light Neutron blasters if I fit them on a ship large than a frigate. The extra cap use is negligible and the tracking is fine.

So basically you are using void on a vexor with light blasters? Against cruisers and above the tracking won't hurt too bad but when you shoot frigates with that fit it's gonna hurt. CNAM is better in both situations. ---------- This post brought to you by the worst PVP'er in Eve |

To the OP's original question: No.
This is a perpetual argument that applies to just about all high-damage T2 ammo except Hail.

I use void on serpentis faction ships on sisi because navy antimatter isn't seeded and it can actually hit something sometimes with the 90% webs....

conflagration isn't as bad as hail or void for my 0.02isk due to the ranges you are using at anyways. it can be cheaper than AN MF and easier to get hold of and does a more balanced em:thermal than AN MF which is em heavy.

Its good against ships larger than yourself. So a frigate against a cruiser, cruiser against a battleship or a battleship against a dread.

Personally, I've only found one scenario where void is actually possibly worth using.
When you're flying a deimos in a level 4 Gone Berserk mission. I've found that a properly utilized deimos in that mission is actually faster than several battleship configurations. Plus being able to use an MWD in a mission along with one of the most reviled HASes to good effect is awesome in its own right.
A shame that that's about the best use for either of them, except perhaps for ratting in belts. ____________________

Void does 1.5% more damage than faction antimatter. That's the problem. It also does a bit more thermal damage, which is less useful against he typical armour-tanked T1 ship.
If Void followed the faction/T2 relationship of, say, missiles, then it would be useful - Rage/Fury do 11.7% more damage than CN. But it doesn't.

Void is prolly the best choice if you are bs ratting in a gall af. And prolly the worst for anything else.
