These ships need to be Battleship size or smaller, either Gallante or Amarr. Please explane each ships role in the small fleet and if you want you can post fittings too. This would be for pvp, i'm new my self to pvp but would like to know what to train for.
Thanks Respectfully,

3*1600mm plated harbingers with ecm drones. Fits, t2 guns, mwd, eccm, web, point or scram+point 1600mm plate, 2xeanm, 1xdc2 2xhsII 1xmed acr 2xtrimarks
They can gank, they take a beating and since they are not battleships people will not feel the need to match you *2 bs wise to fight back.

Arazu, Curse, Abaddon. Arazu points the target and damps it or another high-priority ship (i.e. enemy ECM). Curse sucks the cap from any high-priority target (effective against all kinds of things - active tanks, interceptors, lasers, ecm - anything that requires cap) and the Abaddon pounds the target with pulse lasers while riding a hard buffer tank. A high-skill, high-coordination setup. You'll want the arazu and curse off the front lines, but the abaddon has utility - it can be right in the thick of the fight or off at a distance. Preferrably the latter.
Of course any battleplan is doomed to fail in the actual fight, so this fleet could end up a trio of wrecks when it's all said and done. No three-man team is invulnerable.

honestly its hard to go wrong with 3x amarr/gallente battleships/battlecruisers. when fitting them though, take into account who is going to get showtime first - IE a weak tank on a geddon when its got 2 domis next to it would be poor planning. Both races have a lot of flexibility on the tank-gank spectrum, so you can do some cool manipulations by making your enemy call the wrong primaries.

BS - the toughest, highest DPS ship there is. (short of Capital Ships) BC - the toughest, highest DPS ship there is if your gang needs to be mobile. If it is a tough fight and there is no need to be mobile, bring the BS. If the gang is moving through many systems and the BS is too slow, bring the BC instead. Your gang role is very simple with BS/BC. The interceptors/ interdictors in your gang traps enemy ships and you lay down the DPS to take them down.
Can't really go wrong with frigate->cruiser->BC->BS training plan with detours to whatever T2 ships you like. All the Gallente/Amarr BC/BS are okay except for the Prophecy.

This. Don't even think about starting to pvp in the big stuff, you will just burn ISK faster. Start small, work your way up. Try the various ships, observe what others are flying. Work out your own fittings.
Read through the FW killboards, check for most used ships, view the fittings via lossmails, get a grasp of the most used ships/modules/whatnot. Killboards can be found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Faction_Warfare_Resources ----------------------------- Pew pew!

Edited by: Meldgaard on 02/10/2009 08:47:20 What kind of gang are we talking?
for a cruiser/BC rooming gang brutex (dps) vexor(dps and follow up scram/web so the inty can use its GTFU tank) blackbird (ECM just train the bloody thing)
rr bs gang: megathron neutdomi and some of the amarr bs' but i dont know them well enough to say which ones.
for solo or wary small gangs: Vexer (it have a good mix of tank/gank, it will kill most cruiser hull (t1 or t2) or down if you get a srcam on it)
edit: ok the balckbird is not a gallente or amarr ship but is the most use full t1 cruiser.

I'd say 3x dominix would be real nice. Remote reping eachother without fitted weapons and huge dronebays.

Interceptor to get you targets and a couple of domis to kill them.
2x Domi with a drone mix from sentries (long range), heavies (in your face), medium ECM (GTFO), and light (anti-frigate). Fit the highs with neuts, remote reps, a smartbomb or two, maybe drone link augmentor. Some mix of cap booster + drone upgrades + MWD + tackle + tracking disruptor in mids, plus heavy buffer armour tank. They are very flexible (good in small gangs), they kill stuff, they repair each other.
1x Malediction or Ares. Fit tackle, small weapons for defence against drones, and a salvager. It's a T2 hull, but the Isk/SP cost is fine compared to the other ships. You might progress to interdictors later, if in 0.0.
You can fight close with the heavy drones and neuts, or at range with using sentries. Assign drones to assist your fast locking tackler and get them into the fight early.
You can go Vexor -> Myrmidon -> Domi as you train, and use a T1 frigate until ready for the interceptor. If one of you has a second account, get an alt in a frigate with a prototype cloak to watch the other side of gates. Get lots of scouting bookmarks.

Actually I was thinking replace the Moa with a Celestis. Then this power trio can be referred to as the "A-B-C combo"

If we are talking about a three man gang we really need to define where the fight is taking place and against whom because that will be your biggest deciding factor. This goes doubly true for the finer points of how you decide to fit different ships.
Even then there will be several different routes you could go based on possible tactics used in a small gang.
Within the constraints in bold above, if you want a gang that is fairly flexible then try something like the following. Thorax (small blaster, medium drones, and max tank fit) Harbinger(pulse fit) Your choice of battleship.
If you want a small gang that is stupidly tough try 3 neut/cap transfer/RR Domis.
If you are looking for a lot of gank and tank then 3x abadons are capable of doing both in spades.
Most of the Gallente and Amarr ships at or above battle cruiser size are really good and pretty flexible. Cruiser and below they are somewhat less impressive, the Thorax and Punisher are good for a cruiser and a frigate. Other options below a cruiser don't really stand out that much. |

You can't go wrong with 3 gank BC. Drake for best tank, Brutix for best gank, Hurricane for gank, neuts, and speed. Or just bring one of each.

Edited by: DaDutchDude on 04/10/2009 12:13:13 There are very many ways to do this, and one not necessarily better then the other because you'll always have the rock-paper-shotgun effect, but here's one example.
T1 tackler frigate: MWD Scram-Web Tristan. He will be your scout and primary tackler, especially for faster targets. You can active tank him and add some nosses to live longer, or you can go all passive, whichever you like best. T1 ewar cruiser: neut / tracking disrupt Arbitrator with damage drones and ECM drones. He'll help you make enemy forces less dangerous while still doing good drone damage from a safer range if required. Next to the Blackbird, this is the best T1 ewar cruiser in the game. T1 damage ship: You can go either with a Myrmedon or Dominix. Add some remote reppers to keep your buddies alive, add a point and web and add damage. A heavy neut on Domi would also be useful. With the Dominix, you'll be less agile, but have more damage and utility. With the Myrmedon, you can add a nice gang link and be more agile, but have less damage and utility.
This gang is quite versatile with its ewar and lots of room for drones. It won't be able to engage everything, but no gang ever will. Watch out for speedy gangs (because you are relatively slow) and heavy, heavy tankers (because you won't have massive DPS so killing him will take time, which could be enough for backup forces).
Alternatively, you could swap out the ewar with an Exequror as remote repper: you'll have less ewar and damage, but a whole lot more tank. I personally think you'll be too low on ewar, but it's an option nonetheless.
Hope you like it. _____________________________________

Edited by: Shootmenot dammit on 04/10/2009 18:30:27 Maybe I'm doing this wrong, but I keep reading Curse, Sabre, Arazu, etc etc when the TC specified T1 in the topic title.
Not knowing what I'd be facing, you cannot go wrong with 3 x RR Neut Dominixes, I think.
As tough as it gets.
