But have YOU touched lives of thousands of people?
Yes.

Instead of thinking too hard about it, what about just think about the overall message the video gives: EVE is unique in that you can decide your own destiny; and the actions you take on EVE can have a profound effect on how you play.
People seem to overthink the video...

But! But vidoe is not liek real gaem!!!! They maek the figth to be liek it is all heroicn aand dramatic bt it wouldnt happen that way in real game! THAY ARE LIERS!!!!
...okay, seriously...it's a freaking movie. It's promotional. Who cares if internet spaceship A couldn't use internet technology B to destroy internet spaceship C?
I bet you're one of those people that analyze guns in movies and say crap like "Hey! The H&K PS10546 handgun didn't have a 12-round magazine until the revision C in 1998 but this movie takes place in 1992 so clearly the writer is ******ed!!!1!111one!"
Yeah, that must be it.

Lol I kinda liked that particular poster, and it kinda sums up the butterfly effect movie.
However, take the movie and strech it out into a time span of a week. Now how realistic is it? (also, the hulk in question didn't have to be in 0.0, it could have easily been in lowsec.) Blane Xero > Lance is at -0.9 sec status with a 1 million bounty. LAnce is also amarrian. Thats 3 evil points |

I too have touched the lives of thousands of people, but I am told it was in an inappropriate manner.

It wasn't? What was the best? Your choices are (according to movies classified as Scifi and released in 2009):
Outlander Push Knowing Star Trek Terminator 4 Moon Transformers 2 Gamer Pandorum Surrogates
I see one good movie on that list, and I'd say they're tied.
I keep hearing Gamer is good, but I don't believe it. Which movie is the good one there - Star Trek I guess?
And District 9 was great.
Push had some major plot holes, overall meh, I thought Surrogates was awesome and Star Trek was good as well. --- I am taking pre orders for Navy Armageddons |

In the trailer, the narrator said that the "lone wolf" drove away the pirates. He didn't necessarily go toe to toe and kill 'em all.

Common... if we start complaining about Eve not beaing realistic and EveBased vidoes not being realistic, may be go out and dig some potatoes... it is more realistic stuff!
Note that I said nothing about EVE being or not being realistic. Only about the video not being a realistic representation of the game.

Excusing the last two, which I have not seen (but am not expecting that much of given the trailers) I see TWO good films on that list (Star Trek and Moon). District 9 was something else, I loved it but I can see why other may not have. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

Okay, so maybe that wasn't the snide post I intended it to be. Granted, I haven't seen Moon. Now that I've looked into it, it kinda sounds great though. I'll have to check it out.
In any case:
EDIT: I am, of course, referring to myself. Not the OP.
