Does anybody else find it irritating that the only slot that accepts implants that bonus speed is also the only implant slot that bonuses small turret damage. That is slot 6.
I notice missiles users don't have to put up with this, for them slot six is for cruise missile and torpedo buffs.
Equally odd is the fact that the slot which accepts implants for boosting armour hp is the same slot that takes implants which boost large turret damage. Which is slot 10.
Wouldn't it would be better to swap implants which boost the large turret damage to slot 6, and the implants which boost small turret damage to slot 10? That way you can get an armour and damage buff on your medium and large ship clone, and a speed and small turret damage buff on your small ship clone.
Just pop it into Dominion with all the other stuff and unload implants from affected clones and that will be fine. Thanks in advance.

Looking back through some old topics it seems the Rogue CY speed implants used to be in slot 7. That would be better too, since the rest of the stuff in slot 7 is mostly for weapon range and tracking and weapon and tank cap usage, mostly large ship issues.
If this is true I wonder has sombody specifically gone out of their way to balls this up, or or did they just suffer a momentary lapse of reason?

Thread needs more love/flames.
To clarify the issue:
If I fly medium or large ships I can fit a clone with hardwirings that boost tank and damage.
If I fly small ships and use missiles I can fit a clone with hardwirings that boost speed and missile damage.
If I fly small ships and use turrets I'm screwed because the only slot that takes a velocity boost hardwiring is the same slot that boosts small turret damage.
Easy fix proposed, make it so.

It is a rather small sacrifice easily remedied by using either a speed rig or damage rig.
By moving the slot it will only be a matter of time before someone else comes along with a just as valid argument about conflicting implants.
Slot 10 also has all the mindlinks and missile RoF implants so moving it there is a no go. In frigate combat every little bit counts, 5% armor is more than enough to sway a close fight your way, many fights I get in and win have me in deep deep hull.
Perhaps wiggle all slots around to create 1-2 "utility" slot where all the non weapon/tank implants go.

Does seem to screw the inty and AF pilots a bit. I think someone proposed a more sensible slot layout in a previous post a week or two back, can't find the post now but it fitted in with your idea I believe.

Wow! EVE has limitations that doesn't allow you to cram all the goodies you want into your ship? Astonishing.... Never heard anything like that before!!!!
All the speed implants were placed in the same group for a GOOD reason!
I'm sure there's some Caldari battleships pilots who'd like nothing more than fitting their slow-ass battleships with BOTH speed implants and missile damage. I'm sure the same could be said for some implant for ALL types of users in ALL the slots..... Would their whine be as valid as yours?
EVE forces you to CHOOSE what you want to fit (ships and implants) by putting restrictions on stuff, specifically to prevent everyone flying with the exact same cookie-cutter fit. This is a GOOD policy!
Originally by: CCP Wrangler EVE isn't designed to just look like a cold, dark and harsh world, it's designed to be a cold, dark and harsh world.

Ah I'm glad you're here Kerfina, we needed someone who knows all about this.
Now of course anyone as clever as you will understand why speed hardwirings naturally compliment small weapon hardwirings, so would you please be so good as to explain to us dimwits why small missile users should be able to fit speed and damage hardwirings but small turret users shouldn't?

there are too many implants and too few slots. The only way i can see this work is if you remove all the slot restrictions from hardwires and allow them to be fitted anywhere from slot 6 to 10. No restrictions. U get 5 slots and fit any 5 hardwires you want. But you can't fit hardwires that give bonus to an attribute that you're already getting from another one.
