Ok we have logistic ships for low level fleet repair and there pretty good at it but in the mean time for large fleet combat ships with huge Hps are taking massive damage that needs to be repaired.
To that end I suggest a T2 BS sized Support ship. IÆm not going to generate all its stats and such as most of the time plp skip it anyways. ôBut Mchief you rambling computer user, whatÆs so good about a bigger logistics shipö you would say
First I would say I donÆt ramble, second the following listed below
First off the Fleet Support ships high slots are restricted to repairer type modules
Second they may use a new ammo transfer module. A player may right click on their ammo stack and hit a reloadable option and then select a designated amount ( for example 3000 units of antimatter large) the player flying the Fleet Support ship may store ammo in his rather large cargo hold . Upon targeting an allied in need of ammo he activates the module and ammo is transferred at a rate of 100Units every 2 seconds till the amount the player has asked for is transferred
Third a new module known as a nanite sprayer which also is only useable on a Fleet support ship sprays nanite paste as a foam allowing one ship to repair another ships modules while still in space. This required that the Fleet support ship has nanite paste to spray
Forth the Fleet Support ship may equip a deployment module (similar to siege module) that causes the Fleet support ship to become a small station of sorts. Once done. Heavily damaged ships may ôdockö at the Fleet support ships deployed arms. This is not docking like as in a station or outpost but the ship moves to a position latches on, and is then itself locked in place.
ôBut Mchief you constructive deconstructer, why would we want a ship to stop moving when it has fire coming from 45% of itself and is likely to fall apart soonö To which I would reply that any ship docked in this way receives 500% bonus from any of the Fleet support ships repair type modules. And the player owning the ship chooses when to unlatch. Though should the support ships pilot pack up all ship auto unlatch from it

This sounds like a really interesting idea but I don't think that ccp is going to come out with a BS for this. But it could be considered for a possible subsystem on the T3 BS when they come out and yes T3 BS are coming we just don't know when.

interesting concept, especially the ammo reloader, but then again that could be the exact same thing as a hauler.. so.. hrm. Also, does the ammo count cap boosters as well? because thats the main reason it would be used if so, and that would be nigh invaluable to a fight. Other than that though, I dunno about the true practicality.
Maybe with some tweaks it could be one of the best damned ships in eve! Also, the docking bit, afaik not really possible... Same reason why they never went through with the whole "mobile station" titan thing. It has something to do with the fact that your client is having to connect to another client to connect with the server, and extreme lag follows. =]

Hmm, a big ship with massive remote reppers and a built in hangar for refitting and rearming ships? Where have I seen this concept before?
*Kazzzi ponders in deep thought as a Nidhoggur warps past*
