Why does your spreadsheet need a macro-enabled button? I believe the maximum number of build jobs is ten isn't it? Certainly 5.

Yes, max slot is 10, the other slot are still under construction The use of marco button is that I am using it to download about 300 item prices from eve-central's xml. It would be a lot of work, if using excel's xml import button...... and the xml link address is far too long that within excel can handle. At least in VB, the link length is 1024.

Ahh I see - I've got seperate links which the user can update all in one go - thankfull I don't think I have no where near that amount of items to keep track of, nor would I wish to do so.

T1+T2 Salvaged Material 38, Decryptors 20, Datacore 17, Advanced Moon material 11, Minerals 8, And POS fuels and some manufacturing needed trade goods 20. For just material, there are 100+. Plus I update all T1,T2 & Cap ship prices. That why I need 300

If you try to open this with 2003, you get password box, and results in being unable to open it (even with 2008-2003 converter installed). |

Few suggestions:
- add the possibility to select "no implant"
- add the possibility to deactivate a slot or set it to "no production"

There is a blue colour cell call "Price use" where you can choose to use a market price (download from EVE-Central) or self-input (input to the cell above, purple colour). The median empire price is used

So not only do you have macro/code in the sheet but you also hide the code from inspection as well.
How do you get away with that?

Problems with this tool:
* Hiding the code. What are gaining from this tool? Are you making money? If you're worried about someone taking your unprotected code and re-releasing it as their own... who cares. You made a spreadsheet for a video game, may the most popular version of "xyz" spreadsheet win.
* Must use macros? :(
* API import doesn't work right off the bat.
I'm not using this tool, it's too restrictive and secretive. |

with all this keyloggers and malware around, its really hard to trust anybody who doesnt live in your own house..and even that could be a problem sometimes..
So..its really looks nice, but can u give us some insight of what the macros are doing.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- empty space - HALP |

Any news on opening it up so everyone can see the macros? I'm just REALLY uncomfortable with the idea of using someone's macros w/o other people saying it's ok. I'm not a programmer so I can't really say if there is malware or keyloggers in it.

After playing a bit with it... apart of the major nuissance of all the blocking (no formatting, no filtering in BPO table to make your life easier updating, not allowing to check macros, etc.) there are some serious mistakes and misscalculation in T2 production.
There are some problems regarding on selection of station/POS array in some slots, there is some serious misscalculation of profit with own invention (invention cost does not add up as it should), and some screw up on the isk/hour ratio with some decryptors.
In few words: use at your own risk, at least with current version, and double check it. Hoping for some answers from the OP, because this tool had potential.

Edited by: Mashaw on 30/12/2009 03:04:47 Edited by: Mashaw on 30/12/2009 03:04:37 These are the reasons I won't be downloading this sheet:
- Only works in MSWord ($100+ product that has free alternatives)
- Macros but closed code (I'm in your sheet logging your keys)
- Broken imports
I do appreciate the effort, though.
