Hey!
Stop making fun of my corp or alliance! I hold such pride in this matter! I am a new EVE player and would like to learn all I can from people who I could trust. I hate logging into the forums and reading about all this hate. Shows a lot about other peoples character in real life. Every now and then I log on EVE to skill change and enjoy the company of my fellow comrades. We are currently ratting, plexing, mining in Gallente space and will be involved in faction wars. I myself cannot wait for this as it will be exciting and new experience for me.

Double Dutch Rudders changed into Alliance 12345 which has changed again into Double Dietsch Rudders. I suppose someone dutch got offended by their original name. I care not about the name anyways as Helljumpers is still run by old friends of mine. :)

Someone explain the term to him, please. Explain it as you would to a child. Film it if possible.

Apparently the term "Dutch Rudders" was offensive. Honestly, we never had any idea, but the GMs directed us to google the term and we were appalled.
As our founders' lineage is strongly that of Dutch seamen, we searched long and hard for a new name with the same spunk as the old one. After probing the bottom of the internets searching, we finally came up with Double Dietsch Rudders. In keeping with our seamen heritage, Dietch is an old word for Dutch.
We've decided that our poop deck needs more seamen, so we've returned to Empire to train up a new batch of recruits in the ways of the Dietsch Rudder.
Want to be a Dutch seamen too? Contact Don Pelligrino, Zak Zerachiel, Delarado or whoever. You'll never regret learning the ways of the Dietsch Rudder and becoming a Dutch seamen!

Oh and you're currently kicking the **** out of PL and perma camping them in their home system, right?
uh oh, I see
edit: fixed typo
PL gave up and went home, so no now that PL gave up the fight we don't have to camp them anymore. That was last week.
DDR has been a non-issue ever since they made the mistake of trying to fight us. Where did they end up running to anyway? Ohh I see, they had to run back to empire knowing we wouldn't bother with a War dec.

You are both wrong stupids.
Lol, you are actually thinking the old D.D.R. = Dutch and Holland is Dutch?
Dutch is coming from Dietsch (Diets) and only refers to the southern/middle parts of the Netherlands/Belgium area. Nowaydays, it is used worldwide synonymous with 'The Netherlands' (even by the Dutch people). Holland (North and South) is a Province within the Netherlands. The Netherlands, or The Low Countries (les Pays Bas in French) was founded in 1581 as seven provinces splitting off from the Spanish Empire of Philip II and formed the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. Hence, plural, The Netherlands.
Most of the area was fought over against the Roman Catholic Spanish in an eighty years war. The Southern parts of the Netherlands and Belgium below the Waterlines (an area the Dutch could flood to hamper any Spanish landinvasion into their area) was used as a buffer zone. This excellent strategy allowed the Dutch to use their money to strenghten their navy instead of relying heavy on landarmies, hence becoming one of the most powerful naval forces of Europe and that formed a basis for their large overseas empire (South Africa, Indonesia, Surinam, New-Amsterdam/York, parts of Australia, and some islands in the Caribean like Aruba, Curacao, etc.). New Zealand is spelled with a 'Z' for example because Zeeland is one of the starting Provinces in the Netherlands and it was discovered by Abel Janszoon Tasman (after some Polynesians, really, and yes,Tasmania was named after him).
Most of the overseas Dutch empire was fought over with the English in some pretty fierce wars. 'Dutch' is still a swearing word in London, you should read about the raid on the Medway to explain that).
So now you are up to par again and we can go on in the ways of COAD: DDR is tiring, you better get a girl.
