Looks like the scam stories are true after all.
I got taken my mono, though it seems like a relatively small haul for the reputation hit.
You have to wonder about ATLAS when they associate with these guys.

Stating that mono/Serentiy Remedy/Cmdr Twinturrets is a scammer, thief, liar and cheat is a bit much, from my experience. However, he was never given the chance to be any of the above towards my.
Space Perverts is 1 thing; a way to make decent isk. That's it.
It does, however, bear no resemblance to a "real corp". I will elaborate -
1. He is the only person in the corp with any roles whatsoever, apart from a couple with the ability to recruit people (see 3 below).
2. There is no organization within the corp, no production people, no designated combat pilots for defense.
3. The recruitment policy is an extreme example of quantity over quality. I've seen 1 hour old people recruited, then asking in corp chat "why did you recruit me?". One can only wonder why this is done, although the "more members means more tax" philosophy might be an answer. Mono has state he had "about 30 alts", so I guess there are lots of PLEXes to fund.
4. Where the isk from the corp tax goes is a mystery. And since only he has access to even view it, it's impossible to say for sure. There was a rumor of someone being threatened with a kick for asking to see the wallet. I expect a reply about rental fees to this.
TL;DR - If you want lots of isk, by all means join. If you want a real corp, go elsewhere.

mono IS a scammer, make no mistake. I thought it was fishy that we had a 20% tax and no corp services whatsoever, 200+ people he was the only one who had roles.. No logistics or industry to speak of
Bottom line, back in insmother after his corp left he was bragging in local how space perverts was a scam just to make him money. I assume he will be booted from systematic chaos space soon, just like he was booted from atlas space.
