Congratz on not being a whiner! Good to see that.
GL getting restarted again. Feel free to contact me ingame if you need a hand or some easy isk jobs, have plenty spare ships and gear i wouldn't mind donating to a good cause.
Wold recommend that you get with a mild sized, well established player corp though. Its fun to want to start your own corp when you start eve, but certainly not an easy path at all. Imo better to learn the ropes first.

you got an insurance payout when your ship went boom, thus you did not lose all your isk.
and always pretty easy to start over again just dock up get a noob ship and go mine. soonish you should be able to afford a pve frig to get more money, and then it snowballs.
either way it is just a game.

First off get rid of that. You are not selling yourself to anyone there. Secondly you learned a valuable lesson, pick yourself up and dust yourself off. Thirdly as the other posters have said find a good corp, it is vital to success, but bear in mind demanding stuff to join is the wrong way to go about it. Also dont fit guns to your indie... *edit speeling

Looking at your corp history you remade your own corp several times. The trick to learning EVE is to interact with others, not sit in your own corner of space all alone and while that doesn't neccesarily HAVE to be a problem it certainly doesn't help.
There's decent money in doing courier missions as long as you pick the rights ones, do more than one at the same time and keep it safe. For now (as has been stated before); join a PROPER corp with actual people in it and go do missions with them, or help them with mining/hauling while getting part of the profit.
It's no use to say "I have to make money so I cvan buy this and this and THEN I'll have fun", just enjoy what you do and the interaction you have with others.

This, even without the player corp. Salvaging is the biggest isk generator for a newbie, and you can get the book for free in a mission arc like that offered in Embod.

the op did not say he was a horrible player... he said he was a "new player"
how many people here can honestly say they never lost a hauler in low sec when they were a new player?
hell, OP is your really stuck for t1 strips i have loads spare ones left in a container somewhere.

I can assure you that someone who's aware of their flaws and is willing to correct them will have an easier time, by far, to get recruited than someone who thinks he knows everything and refuses to be taught… ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

For lowsec nanos are entirely unnecessary if you're in a BR.
They make you align faster.
Incorrect. Aligning faster requires Inertia Stabilizers, nanos are to make you faster during mwd. Also, if the rig slots are freee, fitting Low-Friction Nozzles help aligning even better.

After reading all your replies I think I will join a moderately large player corporation. But before I go corp hunting, I will either go ratting, do the first mission arch, or go mission running. Thank you for the advice. It really helped. Good flying!

I accepted a courier contract. Its colatteral took all my ISK. I didn't know it would lead into low sec. But I thought I could make it through. It was only two jumps.. Well, I didn't. I got gate camped. I lost 5 mil. And my indy ship. Fortunately I didn't get destroyed in my pod. But still, to a new player like me. What I just lost was alot. And I was saving up for those strip miners for my coveter.
So, now, I want to know, what would be the quickest way to earn ISK? Safely! I can't afford any more losses. Something like mining in HI-sec.
What should I do?
did this happen in lowsec? or did they gang up on you in highsec?

Less time spent aligning means you get the courier done faster (I also use the warp speed rigs or the same reason instead of cargo rigs). Also, they can help you get away from station camps, since you can not cloak on the undock ramp, and they can easily buy enough time for a target lock by bumping you.
EDIT: Though, it is extremely unlikely that you would encounter a situation where nanofibers would be NEEDED in low sec. I still use them though for the extra speed and in case I need to go to 0.0
Oh, your the guy that buys the warp speed rigs. Didnt think I was likely to ever meet you.

Actually, nanos do both. They lower your inertia multiplier, just like istabs, only not to to the same degree, and they also increase your speed (regardless of whether you MWD or AB or not).
Strictly for aligning, the latter isn't a good thing since it means you have to go further before you reach that coveted 75% speed warp threshold (and if you're coming out of a gate, turning speed is irrelevant — how fast you can reach that threshold is the only thing that matters). However, since nanos also have that inertia modifier, you come out ahead either way — you may need some more speed to get going, but you get that needed speed faster since the ship is easier to move about. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Stats for nanofibers
Quote: Inertia Multiplier -13.1 % Structure HP bonus -15 % Velocity Modifier 7.85 %
Makes you align and get into warp faster. Takes away some structure HP (not that that matters if you get scrambled)
Stats for Istabs
Quote: Inertia Multiplier -16.7 % Signature Radius Bonus 10 %
Makes you align and get into warp even faster. Also makes you easier to lock (!!!)
Your choice.

Ninja salvaging might be lucrative to new players but it's a dead end street. You gain no standings from salvaging unless you are part of the mission runner's team.
Better off starting with level 1 missions and working your way up to the big ISK level 4's. The sooner you start, the sooner you can rake in the cash.

The most important thing is to learn from this and not make the same mistake again. I can remember my first loss happily flying through low sec in my indy with all my stuff going to my new home, then suddenly ending up as a pod in a station thinking wtf just happened.
Seems like you doing the right thing and not getting upset about it. For me I mined and did missions, then I would try your hand at doing some trading when you have some iskies in the bank.

5 mil might seems a lot but its pocket change in the scheme of things. Me and my Corpies pop/loose 100's of mil a week in PVP and we replace it all with some missioning and ratting.
Join a decent Corp, they'll have you running lvl 4s solo in under a month if they are a good bunch and you'll be making 10-30mil an hour by yourself easily.
My mains Corp took on two nublets a month back, both who couldn't even finish lvl 2's solo. Both are flush with cash and fully independent now running lvl 4's and PVPing.
Join a Corp, jump in Vent and ask a 100 questions. If you don't like them then find another Corp and ask more questions.

Why didn't you use the 'pause' button once you saw the gate camp???
You maybe could have waited long enough in the pause-mode until the gate campers would have got bored and went away!

Quickest way to be loaded from day 1:
Caldari;
Level one missions in a Kestrel Level two missions in a Caracal Level three missions in a Drake Level four missions in a Raven = Profit.
Not fun at all, but because all you have to spec in really is missiles and shields, it doesn't take long at all to be blizting 4's in a Raven.

The biggest danger with lowsec courier contract/missions is the station undocking, since you pop out with excess velocity you will take longer to get into warp if you have to turn. When I fly to a new station I don't dock straight away, I do a bit of recon and see if there's something I can warp to after undocking, if not I try to make a bookmark (using a cloaky ship).
Even then, I still managed to get popped in my blockade runner when trying to dock at a station in lowsec, the station took 15 seconds to accept my docking request giving the pirate enough time to lock me up and throw 2 volleys of photon death into my poor crane. (the message logs show the second volley killing my ship after the docking request was accepted, which led to an annoying bug where I got dropped into my clone, but that was a bug so those nice GM people gave me my implants back)

That's the best thing about Eve, there are real risks and it makes the game a lot more exciting. It's what has kept me playing the game for over two years. A couple of months ago I was in a similar situation, except I lost about 10 billion isk worth of assets from a careless mistake in wormhole space.
Think of it as a lesson learnt and a fresh start. I hope you have better luck in the future.

@OP: Many advices, many ways to earn ISK. Joining a corp and see how it could work isn't a bad advice (do not pay for joining).
This wont be your last kick in the nuts. EvE is a harsh universe, everyone of us explores the DOs and DONTs in a cruel way. But keep on going.
