Wrecks on Sisi now have an option called "Abandon Wreck." I have not tested out what this wreck does in any way.

It's way for people to loot wrecks without aggression.

I don't get the point of this... if you don't care if someone loots your wrecks, then just don't shoot them?
Why do you need an abandon button? ___________

Possibly because the theft aggression is for the can owner's entire corp (i.e. you swipe from Joe's can because Joe said it was ok, then Susie in the next system, who's in Joe's corp, sees a red flashy you and shoots...)

Well thats the person's fault for trusting Joe. CCP already went through the trouble of showing us that Joe is a bad person and shouldn't be trusted. It was right there at the login screen.

I believe it also allows neutrals to tractor the wrecks if you choose to abandon them, where before they could only tractor wrecks if they were in the corp or fleet.

basicaly allows alliance peeps to do ratting and mission ops together u can abandon youre wreck and let anyone at it. Could also be useful in areas like CVA or even just alliance ratting ops or belt ratters. If u want to keep youre wrecks then rules are u leave em as is. If u are isk ratting only and dont want loot u must press abaddon wreck and let anyone else at em

Unless there is an 'abandon all' command it will be a pain to right click every single wreck.

This actually makes more sense than the "safer" thing, time and time again we crave and beg for more buttons. Warp to 0 button, align button, formations button (?), broadcast button, group-your-buttons-together button... I think in a few years EVE will be a shiny version of that simon-says style game where you have to click different colored buttons in a pre-determined sequence!

This option should also be added to the overview settings for those who wish to have it enabled permanently.

What happens if you're in a Fleet doing missions with a couple of friends, and one of them flags wrecks as "Abandoned"? Pick new friends, or?

How does someone taking from an abandoned wreck know the the wreck is safe to take? How do you know if the person set it to take or not? Do you have to wait and see if you get targeted?
