Originally by: cpt Mark Stop playing a fake, in-game life, and play your own life. Trust me.. its so much more interesting. The sand-box of the world is limitless, there is no repetition, people are so much better to talk to face to face, rather than typing on a keyboard.
I would like to comment on this if you don't mind
Every single morning you wake up, get dressed, eat your breakfast and go to work. Every single day you work in an office, doing the same things as you did 2 years ago. Your life follows a steel routine, comfortable and stable yet unimaginative and dull.
Wow, if that's what your life is, I feel sorry for you. You're really missing out on lot of cool sh*t.
Travel, education, excercise, even simple things like going out exploring for new interesting cafes, restautants etc.
Those are things that are interesting and cool ****.... too you. Don¦t project the way you live your life and enjoy it onto others. Cause they will enjoy their lives in a completely different manner and that¦s fine too.

This game had the opposite effect on me, using all my free time on this game has prevented me from wasting money going out or buying stuff I don't need.
I quit my job to have more time for this game, now I am an independent contractor: work half the time and make twice the money
This game has also helped me understand patience and how to grow wealth over time: I had 6 maxed out credit cards when I started playing, I'm down to 2 \o/

End of story: his addiction became his work. A comfy job writing about games. That's a real motivator to quit!
Unless your in China....
I dont put any stock in so called video game addiction. Its escapism taken to the extreme and people need to look at why their life is so unfulled instead of blaming everying but themselves for their current situation. Calling a computer program an addiction is just sad. On an unrelated note, Kneel before Zod! |

There had to be some other problems too. He very probably had a job he couldn't enjoy. It wasn't anything more than an obligatory chore to him. etc.

Yes, they're enjoying their repetitive daily grind, that's why they call it a grind...
