I am going to create another char but i want him to be a miner, i will choose either gallente or minmatar, what i dont want is to have to train many abilities to level 5 in order to use mining ships, so what race university thing combo will give me a char with industry level 5 and other things at level 5 right from the start.
thanks!!! |

No characters start with level V skills anymore. That was changed years ago, in the Apocrypha expansion.

EVEHQ.
As you are an older character, why do you need help with this.
1/10 Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. We are not running, we are advancing in the opposite direction |

I would do it this way.
If you want to be a miner, figure out what kind of ship you want to fly. Let's say a Hulk.
Go to the market, type 'Hulk' in the search, and open the prerequisite tabs to see what skills you need to fly one.
It's not easy to train to be a miner. Sure, it's easy enough to warp to a belt, target some roids and press 'fire', but the skill trees you need to learn as a miner are as intense as anything else.
I am training a mining character on a second account. She almost has as many skill points as me, and she can STILL only fly a retriever. Sure ok, she has also trained industrial skills, has her navigation skills trained up to V, Engineering to V and so on, but you pretty much need those skills for ANY ship.
You also need drone skills as a miner, refining skills (which are different for EVERY ore), and even social skills to get the price of refining your ores down. You may even have to fly a few missions to raise your standings with that station if you want to get 'perfect refine'.
Yes, there are a LOT of skills as a miner that you will HAVE to train to V. The first of these is the MINING skill, and drone skills to V would be a good idea too.
There is a complete guide to Mining which should tell you everything you need to know:

If you want something even more laid back and casual (as far as skills training goes), I would suggest being a station trader instead. You can make billions of ISK a day while docked, flying only a shuttle (or more likely a tech 1 industrial ship). The skill set to be a decent trader is a lot less demanding than it is for mining.
