Couldn't resist the title meme :P
So today before i headed out for work i noticed a neut had docked up in my home station. I had some time so i undocked in my instalocking HIC and waited.
2 minutes later a devoter undocks and is promptly locked, tackled (with Focused Point) and under fire from yours truly.
I overload the high rack to make sure he popped before he could redock. I get him down to structure and... he finishes his align and warps off.
Somehow he managed to warp off while under the thumb of my infinit point. :(
So i told him he was lucky in local and docked up and cntrl-Q. picked up my stuff and left home to catch my bus to work.
Nearing the bus stop i saw a small terrier puppy running around with out an owner. Two separate people walking their dogs just ignoring her. I called the puppy and she ran over to me. I picked her up and saw from her collar that she lived nearby.
I had to walk for a bit to get to his owner's house, puppy tucked under my jacket; i saw the owner running out of the house suddenly as i was approaching. She was glad to have the puppy back, the dog had apparently snuck out while they where packing thier car for the weekend. They had only just noticed that she was missing.
Told her the dog had managed to get a fair distance by herself and had been running around near the main road. thank yous and goodbyes later i was heading back to the bus stop.
For the first issue i don't know if it was a HIC point bug or fancy logoffski technique. Obviously as a pirate i should have brought a blob to deal with the helpless hauler.
For the second issue, i know must have disappointed the carebears out there. Next time i'll kick the puppy onto the street like a proper Ebil Piwate who is a sociopath in RL.
Disclaimer: This post, while true, is for sarcastic purposes only.

Should have ransomed the puppy.
Also you got a little confused about which ship was yours and which was the hauler.

Could use some sort of twist at the end, like... maybe the puppy was the pilot of that hauler, and the two of you had a good chuckle about the whole scenario on your stroll home.
Not a bad read, all-in-all though.
Also, someone stole my sig, so just pretend this is one of those annoying ones...? Signature removed. No EVE related content. StevieSG

there is a new logofski technique out there that would do what you have outline actually but, unlike logging off, it is classified as an exploit and so shall not be described

I figured it was something like that. I believe i know the exploit you are talking about, it make sense now since i didn't see him drop from local and i was able to lock him the second he undocked (there was no invul time at all).
