Ok i was just in jita when i started looking for a nice meta 4 damage control to upgrade from my meta 2 one... Well i dont think i had ever really looked at the DC section on the market for more than a few seconds before.. because what i found was very confusing.. Basically my question is there are 2 meta 4 damage controls
interal force field array --->(DC-1A) and internal force field array 1 --->(DC-1B)
And basically DC-1A was 23mil and DC-1B was 10 mil..but after spending 5 minutes looking at stats and fitting reqs..well.. the 10 mil one was just better than the 23 mil one... so i said "HUH?" yup the 23 mil one (DC-1A) does 43% hull resists and roughly half the shield and armour resists of the 10 mil (DC-1B)... So umm anyone know why there are 2 such similarly named DC modules and why they are "backwards" priced? Does the 23 mil one not have any stacking penaltys or something? What am i missing here? Which one should i buy? Thanks!

Edited by: FlameGlow on 25/10/2009 07:08:29 just fit T2, they are cheap and superior in stats prices on some named things are just completely ******ed, cause they don't drop that often. _____________ I don't care what is nerfed, as long as it's not my "undock" button. |

The difference is that some named modules were 'renamed' a few years back, when basic modules also were around. They got worse stats, but cost more as collection items only. In any case, always check out item info, as you want the best stuff money can buy - always. ---------------------------------------------- Some people say you should fight fire with fire... Nonsense of course; you should fight everything with fire! |

hehe i wanted the meta 4 because i needed to squeeze like 3-4 more CPU to upgrade and add to my ships fitting:) so only a meta 4 would do...
SO jessica.. the 23 million DC module is just plain worse than the 10 mil? and the reason people pay 23 mil is for a collectors item that does not drop anymore?

Check the skill requirements, the more expensive one may be easier to use. ------------------------------------

Wrong, some named items are boosted up versions of the Basic modules, whereas some are boosted up versions of the Tech I version. In this case;
The Internal Force Field Array I needs Mechanic 1 and also Hull Upgrades 1, wheres the Interior Force Field Array Only needs Mechanic 1 to use.

This - basic modules just get in the way. Can we get rid of them please?
Also, please add a "meta level" column to the hangar view. . |

isn't every char given those skills at rank 1 to start the game? So the skill req is a non-issue? Anyway thanks for all the replies!
