1: At dock, you're able to see other ships in the docking area as well, so you will see lots more people around rather than just seeing yourself in there. Would be interesting.
2: If so happens the new feature on the planet appears, would be good that the taking point would be a floating platform as well, in the further stage of advancement in the plantery style.
3: Missiles should be a bay of some sort and well, it should appear 'physically' ;3
4: Drones could look abit more lively than before as well, lol. They look stiff.
5: Industrials could have some stuff like if you add cargoholds, they will add some better 'look' on the ship itself.
Just a random thought =)

1. Interesting, how would it show when the person next to you changed ships? There may be graphical or lag issues with this as you would need more information to be sent between the server and your computer.
2. WHAT?
3. I am guessing you mean a turret on your ship. Yes they should.
4. They are metal... it's stiff by its very nature.
5. Again, graphical problems... I a guessing you mean that you want to be able to see changes in your ship graphic depending on which module you have fitted? This would simply be a horrible PITQA to implement. forget it.

1. To my knowledge this isn't feasible right now on account of database structure issues. Probably wrong though.
2. Don't really have much comment on this.
3. Been an idea for ages now, not sure as to exactly what the justification was for it not being implemented. I'd personally like to see this as well, though.
4. Drones aren't all that stiff; every now and then they'll get bored with what they're attacking and attack something else! They're also very stubborn when it comes to listening to your commands.
6. While having visual representations of what's fitted to ships could be cool, every one 'visible' module accounts for another 'entity' that a player's client has to load; not the actual model and texture data, but the database entry from the server side. The less our clients 'know' about the other ships on grid, the better the performance for us. ---

Drones are like 5yr old children, Annoying, Destructive, and never do as they're told

1: Well, maybe. I would like to see more ships in station, but they will most likely have to be just static scenery, like the rest of the station.
2: What?
3: Yes.
4: I like my drones the way they are.
5: Could be possible if the changes to your ship were only visible to you. Otherwise it would be a network nightmare.

1: Some random ships in the other ports comming and leaving... I guess that's easily implemented.
2: Err... Speak a language we understand, please. Subject, verb, object. I'll give you some crayons if you want...
3: /signed
4: You mean as in more moving model? Yes, I can support that...
5: Once upon a time every change was visible from the outside. Additional plates, additional cargo, etc. And it WAS a network nightmare. But visible to noone but yourself? Well, why not? --- "Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind." -Terry Pratchett |
