So what are your predicitons, of who will control what regions, say 2 months after dominion. Will be fun to look back at peoples predicitons and see who was the closest.
Given the new sov system things should get pretty interesting.
Here are my awful predictions:
Fountain: Will remain mostly controlled by PL and tangra with a spot of event horizone with a few systems invaded by IT Alliance Delve: Will be in total Goon control Querious: Will be half Goonswarm half Zenith affinity Period basis: Will be completely controlled by Zenith Affinity bar 2-3 systems by KIA Paragon Soul: will remain fairly the same with this group fo 3 alliances napping Eosteria: will remain fairly the same with this group fo 3 alliances napping Impass: Will be mainly AAA citizens with an Ushra khan pocket Feythabolis: Will be half controlled by REd Overlord and half by AAA Omist: Will be controlled completely by Atlas Catch: All AAA all the time Tenerifis: All AAA all the time Immensea: Probably be the initiative with some gaps of invador control Curse: will be a big mess of people trying to claim control Providence: Probably goign to stay the same but sylph alliance will be a bit bigger Scalding pass: Cow and gent club same as now Wicked Creek: Tri will expand Detorid: Atlas full controll Insmother: Atlas full controll Cache: Half solar fleet half Legion of death Etherium Reach: Red alliance mainly with some xxx bits left over The spire: Legionxxx total controll Outer Pass: Legionxxx total controll Malpais: Legionxxx about 2/3 with about 1/3 red alliance Cobalt Edge: about the same as now Oasa: shadow xxx main control with a bit of legionxxx The Kalevala Expanse: mostly vargians controll with bits of 2-3 other alliances in there.

I don't see TRI aspiring or even caring to expand. They have a base from which to hit IRON and xDeathx, that's all they care about.
IT, well, they'll take something I'm sure.
Curse, I have a strong belief that Angels will still hold sov :P
0.0 will get interesting as big alliances will concentrate on the good parts and the "not good enough" alliances will be able to take the not so good parts and actually try to make a living from them.
Of everything, my last statement is the most exciting I think.

Here are my predictions, Alliances that have 100 systems will be cutting back to about 50-60 based on the current numbers to run sov.
So I say goons will be in delve, but not Querious, but will have a cyno pipeline to empire. AAA will keep tenerifis, but will give up some space in Catch Atlas will keep detroid, but give up some space in insomother. Drone regions - Everyone there will cut back on their systems about 25-30% The north - 10% reduction on systems held, maybe 20%.

Confirming the OP is knowledgable and prophetic.
Looking at list, I think goon and ZAF space is overestimated, the north has disappeared, and I thought the point was alot more little alliances?

Edited by: Sephiroth CloneIIV on 12/11/2009 22:42:37 I think the idea of paying for sov is messed up, getting fuel for pos's makes sense (if you want to have something running need to give it supplys/energy), but paying concord for a lawless space which they never touch or have no influence in, come on, they don't own it, they barely have a influence in empire space low sec let along nul sec, from a 'realism' or storyline perspective how does it make sense, do evil-npc regions which border nul sec give money to concord (I wouldn't think so, each communicates with each other with lethal force), I would find it hard to imagine the likes of sansha nation or the blood raiders sending envoys to some police force in empire space to give them money to keep in their atrocious pirate empires.
Hypothetically a player made organization like goonswarm or another major alliance that regularly disregards concords laws (fitting into eves ongoing story), doing creative things like suicide ganking high sec miners thatĘs even worse then what the NPC pirates do, so should concord which has no presence in their space have a claim to asking for money, and would it make sense for them to ever communicate with them, other then putting up wanted posters?
So the idea is messed up, and if price is too high to claim sov in too many areas I think necessary posĘs will stay up without claiming everything and give them more fuel (so much in extra fuel per day may be less then the millions or billions I hear that could be daily).

My prediction is CCP fails again... You will just see less colors on map, but no major changes, bar some smaller alliances getting 1-2 systems that the big powerblocks do not see worth the isk to claim sov. But even those will probably get blobbed out be said powerblocks quickly.

Edited by: hammyhamm on 13/11/2009 13:52:10 Like every change to gameplay, another addition to the already overwhelming array of 0.0 sovereignty counters, installations, Player Owned Stations and other doo-hickeys that CCP intend to add to the game will have a drastic effect on your average alliance infrastucture.
Supposedly, the introduction of the new sovereignty structures are supposed to command the new "wave of change" of how current 0.0 alliance empires run, that is, any current power bloc or NAP-train that exists in 0.0 today, and furthermore, all relatively smaller alliances in empire who wish to expand into player-owned space.
Let us imagine from the point of view of an alliance who has failed miserably at engaging other alliances in player-controlled space, and now must live a tortured existence of missioning and wistful glances at the daunting yellow, incorrigble alliance across the great divides of space. They YEARN for the succulent pastures of a region they once took for granted, all the while flittering away any hope of their own retribution or salvation from the dreary, apocalyptic scenario that they are now in. I talk about none other than that terrible pubbie-filled, impotent alliance, IT.
