Nice idea.
Just out of curiosity, why do you require an API key?

This is just to make sure that someone doesn't try and create an email address using somebody elses in-game name.

Couldn't people just confirm ingame or on forum that it is indeed them making the account for their name, without the need for api? Smells fishy, please clarify.

They could do this but it makes the process take longer. At the moment I have removed the feature and people are now able to create accounts without entering there API key. THe system has now been automated aswell and accounts are created straight away.
In the future I am hoping to intergrate an API system where people enter their limited use API key and then they can just select a character and the email address is created using that character name. This will make the system quick and easy and as it is only meant for the EVE community it will stop random people using the system.
There is nothing fishy about what I am doing and I am not asking people to enter private information. But I am glad you are asking questions because it gives me a chance to put peoples minds at rest (I hope).
Thanks
