With only a few weeks left till dominion there have been a lot of changes made, and some we got blind sided with. IF you are a pilot that loves EvE I would suggest you hop on over to the Test server feed back forums here and read what is going on.
Also as a reminder that also there are a lot of important issues going on with the CSM and would ask all players today to hop on over to the assembly hall and read up on current issues. CSM forums
Remember these forums will contain issues important to all pilots and your voices should be heard. But remember do not flame and speak with civility!

Yes, but this doesnt mean i cant be civil and inform the rest of the EvE community properly, after all the issues there are ones that affect all of the eve universe.

actually I dont think people do read up on new expansions, the amount of people ive spoken to who are completly oblivious is amazing.
I guess they go with the "adapt or die" attitude.

You're implying that those few supercap pilots quitting will destroy the game as a whole.
A NGE level event would be deleting 0.0 and adding CONCORD to lowsec. --------

They are cahnging 0.0 for every 1 who currently lives there. and im not convinced its going to work any better than the moons ect do now. they are introducing a system that could in future let players have npc police protect their systems. there is no way to say the sov changes will be better in the end.
they are reworking ships people have spent entire years in game working for.
they are relying on things already not used for this change to sound good (more cosmic annomalys? no one touch's them any way). they are adding social networking to eve. (who really needs it? really? or is it just a nice idea to make the game look NEW and Inovative). IT has all these nice possible features ect but they are all just (POSSIBLE) nothing amazing is really being done so its just more "we gonna do this to make it amazing".
They are making planets and stars look nice? good screenshots? yay? definatly makes the game new and shiny to get new people intrested.
Yea it could very easy turn into NGE.

CCP - while making this amazing game grow - have made some really poor decisions over the last couple of years. This reminds me of the sudden changes in carriers that were stopped through a massive petition. Then there was the nano nerf - I real disaster IMO - went much too far and basically cut the fun out of the fast ships (RIP my vaga and intys).
Now we have the sudden and poorly explained proposed changes to Moms. Past experience shows that at least the really stupid and unfair change in mineral cost is likely to be fixed - but as for the rest - who knows. CCPs record on listening to the player base is inconsistent at best.
The bottom line is subscriptions keep expanding no matter what changes seam to happen and until this changes CCP will do as they please.

Edited by: Mr Ignitious on 13/11/2009 18:41:26 Who does cosmic anomalies?... Have you lived in 0.0? If someone finds an anomaly in 0.0 and it's not a drone one it's probably been ran/being ran when you find it. The introduction of guaranteed anomalies will be a huge help to funding the individual wallets of alliance members instead of all alliance income being moongold going into directors pockets/suicide dread fleets.
There is a lot more good than bad in dominion, I'm quite sure on this.
edit: In addition, the "nano" epic arc mission things sound like they could be an interesting alternative to mission running. I haven't heard anything new about them lately, or if they are still in dominion. Point is though getting away from tanked out gank bs for mission and going to using vagas and other quick hacs to run missions sounds far more interesting. (not that I like missions or anything, but something that takes the agony of boredom out of the task could be cool by me)
I read the forums assuming there are no trolls, only really stupid people.

Really? Could you kindly provide a link where NPCs will be protecting 0.0 systems for the players that own it? I must have missed that.

Actually, Eve has very sorely needed some more advanced ways of communicating for a very long time. Hopefully corps/alliances can create their own forums, I only glanced at the new Eve Mail system on SiSi, but it looks worlds above the current Eve Mails, and if we get personal pages, we could display our status (like letting everyone know we're afk without them all having to ask in chat), and the possibilities go on...

Then there will be one less game I got to pay for monthly. If the game turns out to be crap after the patch (which I doubt) then I cancel, if it turns out to be good or the same (which will more likely be the case) then I keep playing.
Win/Win for me. ************************************************* I have three characters. One has Cov Ops V along with all the bells and whistles that goes with it. |

boy you dont see the big picture, you have to remember, there are the miners who mine specifically to make capitals, then you have the capital ship builders, and finally the retailers of super capitals, oh and what about the people who already have supercaps in the oven and just found out that they price was dropping by 10 bill? i mean when you spend 15 bill to make something then are told that the price is dropping by nearly 60% that puts you in the whole -10 billion. Which i needed to buy more materials, or pay out share holders, and other stuff to continue capital production. A price nerf like that doesnt hurt one person, it hurts everyone involved from the person who flies it to the people who produce them.
