OK lets not get into what's wrong with the rest of the changes, I just have a minor request on behalf of all Dread flying Missile users, that might just win you a brownie point or two for listening to player feedback.
1. Change the name of the skill Citadel Torpedoes to Citadel Missiles 2. Change the Skill Reqs for a Citadel Siege Launcher to Torpedos 5 and Citadel Missiles 1 3. Introduce the Citadel Cruise Launcher with pre-reqs of Cruise 5 and Citadel Missiles 1
And Voila. Naglfar and Phoenix pilots are happy with one small facet of the general **ggotry capital ships nerf that is dominion.
I mean who on earth is EVER going to train for a Naglfar from scratch now knowing they have to train not but 2 but 3 weapon systems. That they need to train capital shield AND armor. For a subpar ship.

Might also want to give the ships an extra mid slot and a bonus for painters. After all, now that you must use them to do damage they should be used by the ship with that requirement. I don't think and of the other dreads currently require additional "DPS Support Ships".

Oh definitely, completely agreed. However that then brings in other game play style balancing needs, which change this from a quick, short request into a drawn out one that takes extensive testing.
Hence why I kept the request really really simple. It wont affect anyone negatively in game or out, the only positive it will bring is a lack of new training*. Ergo, no balancing needed.
*EDIT: Besides Training Cruise Missiles to 5

Yep, they should clearly add seperate skills for the long and short range capital turrets for Amarr and Gallente, since Minmatar already have to train 1 more by the looks of it.
Then it'll be balanced:
Amarr trains 2 capital weapon skills and 1 tanking skill. Gallente trains 2 capital weapon skills and 1 tanking skill. Caldari trains 2 capital weapon skills and 1 tanking skill. Minmatar trains 3 capital weapon skills and 2 tanking skills.*
*(Probably just shield, since armor won't be viable due to going back to split weapons. ) -
NO SPLIT WEAPON BONUSES ON THE NAGLFAR PLEASE! |
