Edited by: Blafam on 24/11/2009 08:11:39 Hi, I can fly a tengu and a legion. I'd like one to do complexes in low sec and 0.0, however i am completely inept in how to fit t3 ships. Id like a good subsystem setup that can use covert ops cloak and do 8/10 complexes (generally)
Extra points for interdiction nullifier.
edit: Would like to add mods shouldnt really cost more then the ship itself (so about 500m)

You wont have the dps to kill the Boss in the Final room with any Solo t3 which fits a Covert Ops subsystem So Scrap your idea and start again. - Emperor

Drop the covert reconfiguration mod.
You can`t cloak again once the NPCs start locking you so there`s no point using it other than to pass gatecamps.
Might as well fit for a seventh high slot and go for faction cloak rather than covert ops cloak. Or you can fit for max tank/dps and use an alt in covert ops to both probe the complex and check that you`re safe to enter.
Covert reconfiguration is a joke atm. Maybe when they introduce the fifth subsystem there will be some sensible configurations employing it- we`ll see..

Faction tengu has a much better tank than a dualrep legion does. Pithum A-Type MSB or even A-type LSB (cap stable) you will be able to tank just about all of the plexes.
Legion, centium a-type mar (dualrep) is around 700-800 omni dependent on skills.

Settle down now pookie. I know these boards can be frustrating but there's no need to be using foul language on the internet.
And since this would be a troll without an on-topic reply...
Go for the Tengu. Ignore the very existence of the Legion.
This is a pretty crap setup for what you want but hopefully people will make fun of the it and in the process accidentally suggest improvements.
Crap Tengu: about 300dps and about 500 tank. Better booster makes better tank.
Ballistic Control System II x4
Target Painter II Large Shield Booster II Shield Boost Amplifier II Invulnerability Field II x2 10MN Afterburner II
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile x4 Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Semiconductor Memory Cell I x3
Tengu Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration Tengu Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node Tengu Electronics - CPU Efficiency Gate Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix

Check your facts..... A legion has a 700-800-ish dps omni tank with a single a-type rep. See here for example: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/25568-Legion-Legion-C3-Sleepers.html
That being said if you pump enough isk into it a shield tank will generaly be tougher than an armor tank. -- The future is black.

Never plexed, so this could be a total fail fit but its what you asked for.
[Covert] 3x Ballistic Control System II Power Diagnostic System II
2x Pithi B-Type Small Shield Booster Photon Scattering Field II 2x Invulnerability Field II 10MN Afterburner II
5x Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
3x Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Fuel Catalyst Covert Reconfiguration Augmented Capacitor Reservoir CPU Efficiency Gate Amplification Node
Assuming All Level 5: 350DPS 550 Omni Tank 633m/s Swapping to Pithi A-Type small and CN Boost Amp with DCU in place of PDU gives 505 Tank and allows a CCC to be replaced either a Flare or Rigor Rig
I'd be interested in what people think of this fit as i'd like to start exploring soon.

Going to dualrep tank you only jump up around 100dps due to losing a hardener unless you go full tank and have absolute **** tank. http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=4870806 870dps omni with my skills.
Who flies a t3 and has full skills anyway, its for plex buyers or low sp high isk characters...

I know of 1 character with all level 5 skills for his T3, But i agree, most dont have perfect skills for them. Its the only comparative baseline that means anything tho.
